Chrome’s built-in full-size screenshot captures a webpage beyond the visible screen. On a slow connection, first let the content you need load—Chrome can capture only what has rendered, not sections or images that have not arrived.
Capture the full page in desktop Chrome

Open the webpage and wait for the important text and images to appear. If the site loads more content as you scroll, scroll through the page and give each section time to load before taking the screenshot. This can help, but site behavior varies.

Open Chrome DevTools. Use Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+P on Mac, to open the DevTools Command Menu. These shortcuts are documented in Chrome for Developers’ Command Menu guide.

Turn on Device Mode in DevTools if the full-page command is not available in the regular viewport controls. Chrome’s Device Mode guide describes the full-size screenshot option.

In Device Mode, select More options → Capture a full size screenshot. Chrome saves an image of the full rendered page, including content outside the visible viewport.

Open the saved image and check that the bottom of the page and any sections you needed are present.

The Command Menu also provides screenshot commands for capturing an area, but that captures a selected portion rather than the entire page. For a long page, use the full-size command.

The screenshot records what Chrome has rendered at capture time. A slow connection can delay images, scripts, or page sections, and a busy site may also be slow to respond. Taking a full-size screenshot does not make the page load faster or restore content that has not loaded. Google lists a slow connection or a busy page among possible causes of Chrome connection-timeout errors: Chrome Help: common error messages.

Before you capture

Wait for the specific text and media you need; a page that appears on screen may still be loading content farther down.

For pages that reveal content while scrolling, move through the page in stages and pause to let sections load before capturing.

If the page has stalled, confirm that your connection is active and reload it. If the same site remains slow while other sites load normally, the site or its server may be the bottleneck.

Troubleshoot a slow or incomplete capture
The page shows a timeout or will not finish loading
Check whether your connection is active, then try reloading the page. Chrome Help identifies a slow connection and a busy page as possible causes of ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT and ERR_TIMED_OUT. Reloading may help, but it cannot guarantee that a slow site will respond.

Images or sections are missing from the screenshot
Those elements may not have loaded before capture. Scroll through the page, pause where new content appears, and try again once the needed sections are visible. Then use Capture a full size screenshot and inspect the saved file.
DevTools feels sluggish
Reduce browser and device workload: close unused tabs, stop unwanted processes or downloads, and disable extensions you do not need for the task. Google recommends these kinds of steps to improve Chrome performance in its Chrome speed-up guidance. They may reduce local workload; they do not guarantee more internet bandwidth or a faster website.
The full-page command is not visible
Turn on Device Mode and check its More options menu for Capture a full size screenshot. DevTools labels and layout can change between Chrome versions, so consult the current installed interface if the menu differs.
