YouTube’s documented native workflow does not set up one weekly recurring livestream that automatically switches to a different playlist each weekday. Instead, organize your devotional videos into playlists, schedule a separate Live event for each weekday in YouTube Studio, and start that day’s stream through an encoder or another supported production workflow. Before streaming, confirm that you have the rights needed for the music.
What YouTube schedules—and what it does not
A scheduled YouTube Live event is an upcoming livestream event with its own scheduled time and watch page. A YouTube playlist is a way to organize and order videos. Scheduling an event does not make a playlist play as the live feed, and playlist organization alone does not create a livestream.

For the documented native workflow, make a separate scheduled event for each weekday. At the planned time, send the actual audio and video feed using an encoder or another supported production setup. YouTube’s official Help guidance retrieved on October 3, 2026, describes scheduling and playlists as separate functions; it does not document a native weekly rule that picks a different playlist for each day.

Plan the weekday devotional schedule
Before opening Studio, decide what each event is for and who will start it. A simple weekly grid prevents the wrong playlist or time from being used:
#1 Best Overall
- Music
- Weekday: for example, Monday or Thursday.
- Start time and time zone: if you are addressing viewers in India, state the time as IST in your channel communications. YouTube does not prescribe a particular devotional time slot.
- Theme and event title: make the day’s focus clear to viewers.
- Song sequence or playlist: identify the videos or recordings intended for that session.
- Operator: name the person responsible for connecting the feed and starting the event.
Choose a cadence you can maintain. YouTube’s schedule guidance recommends introducing the schedule and communicating changes to viewers. A scheduled event can appear as upcoming, and viewers may choose “Notify me” for a reminder.
Organize devotional videos into playlists
- In YouTube Studio, create a playlist for each weekday or for each devotional theme you want to reuse.
- Add the videos you intend to include and arrange their order. You can change playlist order by dragging videos.
- Set the playlist’s visibility and give it a clear title and description so you and viewers can distinguish it from the other sets.
- Keep a separate record of the sequence your live production setup will play. A playlist is useful for organizing published videos, but it is not itself the live output mechanism.
If the stream is meant to play a continuous sequence, prepare that sequence in the encoder or other supported production workflow. YouTube’s encoder guidance describes connecting the stream URL and stream key, starting the encoder, and then going live in Live Control Room.

Schedule a separate Live event for each weekday
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live.
- In Live Control Room, open Manage → Schedule stream.
- Create a new event, or choose to reuse settings from a previous one. Reusing settings can copy metadata, settings, and the stream key; it does not create a recurring weekday playlist rule.
- Review the event’s title, description, privacy, and scheduled date and time. Check that the weekday’s theme and details match your plan.
- Save the event and repeat the process for each weekday. Each event has its own upcoming watch page, which viewers can visit and use to set a reminder.
Treat the stream key as a credential: check that the intended event and key are selected before sending the feed, and do not share the key publicly.

- At the planned time, connect your encoder or supported production setup to the event using YouTube’s stream URL and the correct stream key.
- Start the encoder so YouTube receives the prepared audio and video feed.
- Wait for the preview in Live Control Room. Confirm that the intended devotional program is coming through.
- Select Go live in Live Control Room to begin the event.
- Monitor the stream and update viewers if the schedule changes. Creating the scheduled event alone does not start the encoder or send the planned audio.
Check music rights before you go live
You are responsible for having the music rights required for the stream, including the rights relevant to the compositions and sound recordings. Devotional subject matter does not by itself establish permission to use a particular recording.

YouTube’s copyright guidance warns that matched third-party content can cause a live stream to be replaced with a placeholder; if the content continues, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. A licence may not be enough to prevent an interruption if the rights holder has not added your channel to its allowlist. Confirm the requirements with the relevant rights holders before scheduling the event.
Plan for the recording and archive
YouTube can automatically archive streams shorter than 12 hours. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured, so keep a local recording as a backup for longer programs. The 12-hour guidance is an operational limit in YouTube Help, not a guarantee that every shorter stream will produce an archive.

When a cloud service may fit
If your goal is to keep uploaded devotional video playing on YouTube continuously, rather than to create a distinct event for each weekday, StreamNeo is another option. It is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos or playlists on YouTube. It does not replace the weekday event workflow above or automatically schedule a different playlist for each weekday.
Or let it run in the cloud
- Upload the recording or build a playlist in StreamNeo.
- Add your YouTube stream key once.
- Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded content from the cloud.
- Your computer and home internet connection do not have to stay on to keep the stream running.
- Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality-based tiers.
- StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card required. Monthly billing is available as $9.99 per month.
StreamNeo is for YouTube streams of uploaded videos, not camera-based live broadcasting. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo for details, or start the free day.
