In Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl+P, choose Save as PDF, then open More settings. Match the paper size to your intended document, select Fit to printable area if available, and inspect the preview—including the last page—before saving. For wide tables or columns, try Landscape and check the preview again. The preview is the practical way to catch clipping before it becomes a saved PDF.
Save a web page as a PDF in Microsoft Edge

Open the page and let it finish loading. On a long page, scroll through it once if content or images appear as you move down; this can help reveal content the page loads on demand.

In the destination or printer menu, choose Save as PDF if it is available.

Expand More settings. Set Paper size to the size you intend to use, such as Letter or A4. Under Scale, choose Fit to printable area when offered. Microsoft says this option automatically adjusts content to fit within the paper’s printable area (Microsoft Support: Print in Microsoft Edge).

Check Layout. If the page is wider than it is tall, try Landscape. Adjust margins only if needed: smaller margins may help, but keep important content away from the paper edges.

Inspect the preview page by page, including the final page. Check that text, images, and table columns fit inside the visible paper and that page breaks are acceptable. Save only when the preview looks right.

Choose settings that preserve width and readability
| Setting | When to use it | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Paper size | Choose the intended output size, such as Letter or A4. | A mismatch can make content scale unexpectedly or appear cropped. |
| Orientation | Try Landscape for wide tables, dashboards, or multi-column layouts. | Confirm the preview includes all side content and that text remains readable. |
| Scale | Use Fit to printable area when available; otherwise adjust a scale control gradually. | Smaller scale may fit more width but make text too small. Recheck the preview after every change. |
| Margins | Try another margin preset if content sits too close to an edge. | Do not assume narrower margins fix every crop; verify edge content and readability. |

Fix a PDF preview that still cuts off content

Text or columns extend beyond the side: confirm the paper size, then try Landscape. If a scale control is available, reduce it a little at a time and inspect the preview; avoid sacrificing legibility without checking the result.

The bottom of the page is missing: inspect the last preview page and the page breaks. Check paper size, scale, and margins, then make one change at a time so you can see which setting helps.

The page is cluttered rather than too wide: try printing a cleaner reading view. Edge’s Immersive Reader can provide a less cluttered view on eligible websites, but Microsoft notes it is not available for every site (Microsoft Support).

The destination lacks a useful fit control: Microsoft Print to PDF may be available as another Windows destination. Options vary by browser and destination, and changing the destination alone does not guarantee a correct fit.

Images or sections are missing: ensure the page has finished loading; on pages that load content as you scroll, move through the page before opening print preview. Then check the preview again.
Use Firefox if Edge’s print controls do not suit the page
Firefox also offers a browser-based PDF workflow: open print preview and choose Save to PDF. Its More settings includes paper size, scale, margins, headers and footers, backgrounds, and Format options for Original or Simplified when available.
