If images are missing from a saved SingleFileZ page, first check whether they were deferred or lazy-loaded: keep Images > save deferred images enabled, let the page load, and save again. Also note that SingleFileZ has been merged into SingleFile, so current instructions may use a different interface. The right fix depends on whether the image was never captured or the saved file cannot display it.
Start with the current SingleFile instructions
The SingleFileZ project says it has been completely merged into SingleFile. For a self-extracting saved file, consult the SingleFile options page’s File format section, or import your existing SingleFileZ settings. Legacy SingleFileZ instructions and controls may not match the current SingleFile interface. SingleFileZ project documentation

Check whether deferred images were saved
SingleFileZ’s FAQ warns that some resources, including images and frames, may be missing if Images > save deferred images is disabled. Deferred images often load only when a page is scrolled or when they come into view. If completeness matters, keep this option enabled, allow the page to finish loading, scroll through sections that load images on demand, then save it again. Saving deferred content can take additional time and CPU, and scrolling is not guaranteed to make every site’s images available.
Check for site-side image restrictions
Some image hosts require an HTTP Referer header when an image is requested from another site. The current SingleFile FAQ gives sspai.com and weibo.com as examples and documents the opt-in setting Network > pass ‘Referer’ header after a cross-origin request error. Check whether your installed SingleFile version exposes this option; its availability is not established for every older SingleFileZ build. SingleFile FAQ

Identify what kind of image is missing
If ordinary photos or illustrations are absent, revisit deferred loading and site restrictions first. If the missing content is drawn inside a canvas or appears in a video element, changing deferred-image settings may not help: SingleFile documents security limitations that can prevent saving an image representation of canvas and video elements. In that case, the missing visual may be a capture limitation rather than a setting you can correct.
Separate capture problems from saved-file viewing problems
Ask whether the image was omitted during capture or whether the saved file is being opened in a way that cannot display it. The SingleFileZ FAQ says local opening of saved .zip.html files has browser-specific requirements: Firefox and Safari require the documented local-file setting, while Chrome requires SingleFileZ to be installed to view these files locally. A viewing restriction is distinct from an image that was never captured. Follow the project’s instructions for your browser and file type. SingleFileZ project documentation

Isolate settings and extension conflicts
If the cause is still unclear, the project’s troubleshooting sequence is to test in incognito mode, reset SingleFile options if that does not help, restart the browser, and then disable other extensions to look for a conflict. Change one factor at a time and save the same page again so you can tell which change matters. Resetting options can undo custom preferences, so note any settings you rely on before doing it.
