Install Save Page WE in Edge
- In Microsoft Edge, open the Save Page WE page in the Chrome Web Store.
- Select Get. If Edge asks whether to allow extensions from other stores, select Allow.
- Review the permissions Edge displays. If you want to continue, select Add extension.
- Find the Save Page WE button in Edge’s toolbar. If it is not visible, open Edge’s Extensions menu to locate or manage the extension. The precise toolbar and pinning layout can vary by Edge version.
Microsoft Support says, “Extensions designed for Google Chrome can also be used in Microsoft Edge.” Edge is Chromium-based, but Microsoft notes that some APIs can be browser-specific, so compatibility is not a guarantee that every feature behaves identically in every Edge version. - Toolbar: Click the Save Page WE button. Its configured button action can save selected tabs using Basic, Standard, or Custom Items.
- Context menu: Right-click the page, open the Save Page WE submenu, and choose a save action.
- Keyboard: Press Alt+A to save a webpage as an HTML file. Press Alt+C to cancel a save.
For multiple pages, the extension listing also documents saving selected tabs and loading a list of URLs for batch saving. If the load-lazy-content option is enabled, tabs may be brought to the foreground while pages are being saved.

Troubleshooting
- The extension is not in the toolbar: Open Edge’s Extensions menu and locate or manage Save Page WE. Toolbar placement and pinning controls can differ between Edge versions.
- Edge blocks installation from the Chrome Web Store: If Edge displays the prompt, allow extensions from other stores, review the requested permissions, and select Add extension only if you are comfortable proceeding.
- The old save method does not save a page: The listing says that method may fail on some pages. Try the new method, bearing in mind that it does not remember the last save location.
- The saved file does not reproduce a live or interactive page: The documented outcome is a single HTML file of the page as currently displayed, not a guarantee that sign-in-dependent content, live services, or every interaction will be preserved.
