Let the page load before saving; if it creates images only after scrolling or interaction, trigger that behavior first, then check the saved file. Why these instructions use SingleFile, not SingleFileZ
The official project README states, “SingleFileZ has been completely merged into SingleFile.” The current SingleFile project also provides a file-format option for self-extracting files. If you specifically need that archive format, choose the relevant format option in SingleFile and consult the project’s current help for details: browser behavior can depend on the format and browser.

A saved page is intended to preserve the page’s content and resources together, but lazy loading complicates this: an image may not be requested until it approaches the visible area or another page action occurs. The deferred-image option can help save resources that are present on the page but not displayed or cached. It is not a guarantee that every site-specific lazy-loading implementation will be captured.

- Open SingleFile’s settings or options from your browser’s extensions area.
- Find the Images section and enable save deferred images.
- Keep the option enabled when saving pages that use lazy-loaded images. SingleFile’s FAQ notes that disabling it may make saving faster, but can leave resources such as images or frames out of the saved page.
After changing the setting, return to the webpage and allow it to finish its initial loading. Save using SingleFile’s extension control or its configured save command.

When the site loads images only after scrolling
Some pages do not create or request every image until you scroll, expand a section, or otherwise interact with the page. Before saving, scroll through the areas you need and wait for their images to appear. Then save the page with deferred-image saving enabled. Open the saved copy and inspect the relevant sections; if images are still missing, try scrolling or interacting further before saving again.
This is a practical workaround rather than a universal fix: websites implement lazy loading in different ways, and the official documentation does not promise that every implementation can be captured.

Fix images missing from the saved page
Check whether deferred-image saving is enabled
In SingleFile’s settings, confirm Images > save deferred images is on. If it was off, enable it and save the page again. Turning it off can omit images or frames.

Trigger the site’s lazy-loading behavior
If an image never appeared on the live page before saving, scroll to its location or perform the interaction that reveals it, wait for it to load, and then save again. Verify the resulting file rather than assuming all page resources were captured.

Consider a Referer requirement only when there is a cross-origin request error
Some sites require an HTTP Referer header when their images are requested. SingleFile documents the setting Network > pass “Referer” header after a cross-origin request error. It is not enabled by default for privacy reasons. Check for the cross-origin request error before enabling it: sending a Referer can disclose the referring page to the host serving the image.
