Start with your browser’s Print dialog and save to PDF, but don’t assume it captured everything: print output can differ from the page on screen, and an infinite-scroll page may not have loaded all its content yet. Load the sections you need, inspect the print preview, save the PDF, and check the top, middle, and bottom. If printing omits content or changes the layout too much, use a full-page capture method and verify the resulting file.
Why Print to PDF may leave out part of an infinite-scroll page
Infinite-scroll pages often load more content as you move down the page. A print dialog creates a print rendering, not necessarily a copy of everything currently visible in the browser. The page may also use print styles that change or omit elements, so the printed result can look different from the screen version. Firefox notes that web pages can be designed to appear differently when printed.

Before printing, scroll through the page and wait for the sections you need to appear. This is a practical step, not a guarantee: the browser help sources do not promise that every dynamically loaded page will print in full. Always check the preview and the saved PDF.
Save an infinite-scroll page as PDF with browser printing
Firefox on desktop
- Open the webpage and scroll until the content you need has loaded.
- Open the Firefox menu and choose Print.
- In the preview, select Save to PDF.
- Adjust orientation, page selection, scale, margins, paper size, and background options as needed. Inspect the preview for missing sections and awkward page breaks.
- If available, try Simplified format for a less cluttered article. Firefox says this option disables printed backgrounds.
- Save the file, open it, and confirm that the expected content is present.
Firefox’s print instructions describe these preview and layout controls. Simplified format is available only on some pages.

Microsoft Edge
- Load the content you need by scrolling through the page.
- Open Print from the Edge menu, or press Ctrl+P on Windows or Command+P on macOS.
- Review the preview and print settings, then choose the PDF destination available in the dialog and save.
- Open the saved PDF and check that the needed sections appear.

When to use full-page capture instead
Use a full-page screenshot or capture when the PDF made by printing omits content or changes the page’s visual layout in a way that matters. A screenshot-based PDF is a visual capture, not necessarily the same kind of paginated document as print-to-PDF. If selectable, searchable text, accessibility structure, or evidentiary integrity matters, inspect the file carefully rather than assuming a visual capture meets that need.
Firefox for iOS
Mozilla documents a full-page screenshot route specifically for Firefox on iOS: take a screenshot, choose Full Page, tap Done, then choose Save as PDF. These instructions are for iOS and should not be assumed to apply to other mobile browsers or devices. See Mozilla’s Firefox for iOS instructions.

Firefox for Android extension option
The Full Page PDF Snap add-on listing says the extension scrolls a page, captures it in sections, and assembles those sections into a PDF. The listing describes the result as a picture of the screen and also claims it creates a text layer. Those are claims in the developer’s listing, not independent test findings. The listing names Firefox for Android; check current compatibility and permissions before installing.
Check the saved PDF
- Confirm that the expected top, middle, and bottom sections are present.
- Check whether text is selectable and searchable if you need to find or copy passages.
- Inspect charts, images, and small text at a useful zoom level.
- Look for page breaks that split a heading, table, or other important content.
- Decide whether you have a paginated print rendering or a long visual capture; they preserve different things.

The PDF stops before the bottom of the page
Return to the page, scroll farther down, and wait for more content to load before opening Print again. Check the preview; if the missing sections still do not appear, try a full-page capture that is available for your browser and device.
The PDF looks different from the webpage
This can happen because printing uses a print rendering. Inspect scale, margins, orientation, and background settings. If you need the displayed styling rather than a print layout, try a visual capture and check the result.

The article is cluttered with navigation or other elements
Try Firefox’s Simplified format when available, or Edge Immersive Reader on a supported site. If you need the page as displayed, use a visual capture instead; it may preserve clutter as well as styling.

Use the print preview to adjust scale, margins, orientation, and paper size, then inspect the saved file. A screenshot-based PDF may preserve visual layout but can be less convenient to read or search; verify text and image legibility in the actual file.
The mobile steps do not match your device
The documented full-page screenshot-to-PDF sequence cited here is for Firefox on iOS. The reviewed Android option is an add-on listing for Firefox; check current browser compatibility and permissions rather than applying either set of steps to another platform.

Does saving a PDF preserve live links and page behavior?
A PDF is a saved document, not the live webpage. Check the resulting file for the elements you need; the cited browser instructions do not promise preservation of interactive behavior.
Is a screenshot PDF suitable as proof of what a page said?
Do not assume it is. The cited extension listing describes a screen picture and makes a text-layer claim, but it does not establish forensic integrity. For a record with evidentiary requirements, use a process appropriate to those requirements and retain the original URL and capture context.
