You can save a webpage as a PDF in Firefox without installing an extension: open the Firefox menu, choose Print…, set Destination to Save to PDF, review the preview, then click Print and choose where to save the file. If by “Web Clipper” you mean TagSpaces Web Clipper, its Firefox documentation says its Save Complete Page button saves the webpage as a PDF.
Save a webpage as a PDF using Firefox’s built-in print feature
For ordinary webpage-to-PDF saving, Firefox’s print preview is the simplest route and does not require a web clipper extension. Mozilla’s current help page describes the workflow as follows: How to print web pages in Firefox.

- Open the webpage you want to save.
- Open the Firefox menu and choose Print…. Firefox opens print preview.
- Under Destination, select Save to PDF.
- Review the preview and adjust settings if needed.
- Click Print, then choose a file name and location if Firefox prompts you.
Check the PDF before saving
Print output can differ from the page displayed in the browser. Mozilla Support cautions that websites can set themselves up to appear differently on paper than on screen. Use the preview to catch cut-off text, unexpected page breaks, missing backgrounds, or excessive whitespace before saving.

Depending on the page and Firefox version, print preview offers controls such as page range, orientation, color, paper size, scale, margins, headers and footers, and background printing. If the Simplified format is available, try it for a less cluttered text page. Firefox says this option is only available on supported pages, and selecting it disables background printing.

What “Web Clipper” means in Firefox
Firefox does not have one universal feature called “Web Clipper.” The phrase can refer to different extensions, each with its own controls and output. You do not need an extension just to save a page as a PDF.
If you mean TagSpaces Web Clipper
TagSpaces documentation says its Firefox Save Complete Page button saves the webpage as a PDF. The extension also describes other capture choices, including editable HTML and Markdown, screenshots, bookmarks, and saving a page that is already a PDF. For the PDF action, install the extension from the Firefox Add-ons directory, then use the extension’s own popup controls; the documentation does not provide a complete current installation walkthrough. If you mean another extension
Check the extension’s current Firefox Add-ons listing rather than assuming its toolbar button or output format. For example, the listings for Web to PDF, Webpage to PDF, and PDF Web Clipper describe different capabilities and show listing information that can change. Those descriptions and developer-reported privacy statements are not independent tests or audits.

When a PDF is not the best kind of web clip
A PDF is useful for sharing or keeping a page’s printed appearance, but it is not a guarantee that interactive elements or the live site will keep working. If your goal is a durable, editable source note rather than a page-shaped document, a Markdown clipper may fit better. Fix common Firefox PDF problems
- The PDF looks different from the live page: Inspect print preview. Try a different orientation, scale, margins, format, or background setting. The site may use print-specific styling, so exact visual matching is not assured.
- The page includes clutter: Choose Simplified in print preview if Firefox offers it. If it does not, an extension with an article or reader mode may be an option; check its current permissions and listing before installing.
- Text or images are cut off: Check the page range, orientation, scale, and margins in the preview before saving.
- You cannot find a “Save to PDF” button in a clipper: Firefox’s built-in path is Menu → Print… → Destination: Save to PDF. A clipper’s PDF action, if it has one, appears in that extension’s own controls and may use a different label.
