Open the saved SingleFileZ archive in Chrome, let the page render, then press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on macOS. Choose Save as PDF, check the preview and page settings, and save. The archive must open and render in Chrome first; if it does not, check that the SingleFile extension is installed and allowed to access local files.
Before you start: SingleFileZ is now part of SingleFile
The SingleFile project says SingleFileZ was merged into SingleFile. To create a self-extracting archive with the current extension, open SingleFile’s options and use the setting under File format. The older SingleFileZ FAQ describes saved archives commonly using the .zip.html form. SingleFileZ project repository

Save the archived page as a PDF in Chrome
- Open the archive in Chrome. Locate the saved file—often named with the
.zip.htmlextension—and open it in Chrome with the SingleFile extension installed. - Allow the page to render. Wait until the archived content appears. The project FAQ says JavaScript must be enabled to open saved pages.
- Open Chrome’s print dialog. Press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on macOS.
- Select the PDF destination. In the print dialog, choose Save as PDF. Review the preview and adjust layout or margins if needed.
- Save and inspect the PDF. Open the resulting file and check the text, images, page breaks, and any important content from frames.
This uses Chrome’s standard print-to-PDF workflow. The available documentation does not establish that every interactive or dynamic feature of an archived page will carry over into the PDF, so inspect the output rather than assuming it is identical to the live page.

Chrome restricts extensions from accessing files on disk by default. The SingleFileZ FAQ says the extension must be able to view saved pages from the filesystem. Confirm that SingleFile is installed and that its local-file access is permitted in Chrome’s extension settings. The exact setting label can vary by Chrome version. SingleFileZ FAQ

The FAQ also says JavaScript must be enabled to open saved pages. If the archive still does not display, verify JavaScript is enabled and try opening the file again in Chrome. The documented filesystem restriction concerns local archives; the FAQ says it does not apply when a saved page is hosted on a server.
Why the PDF may differ from the archive
SingleFile can collect page resources such as images, CSS, frame contents, and fonts, but the saved result can depend on its settings. The project FAQ notes that settings intended to make saved pages smaller or faster may omit resources, including frames or deferred images. Printing is another rendering step, and the available sources do not guarantee that all dynamic elements or interactive behavior survive. Check the PDF for anything important before sharing or relying on it. SingleFileZ FAQ
