You can run a Hindi podcast archive as a continuous YouTube live stream by sending its episodes through an encoder or playout system connected to YouTube Live. YouTube receives the feed; the encoder or service must handle the playlist and repeat behavior. Before going live, verify access, test the watch page, monitor the feed, keep a separate recording, and confirm that you have rights for every episode and track. YouTube warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured as an archive, so do not rely on its replay as your only copy.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has no live-stream restrictions during the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s live-stream setup guidance.
- An encoder or playout tool that can send a continuous feed to YouTube and repeat your authorized episode files. YouTube’s encoder documentation explains how to connect a feed; it does not provide a podcast-archive looping setting. Confirm looping behavior in your chosen software or service.
- The YouTube stream URL and stream key, copied from Live Control Room and entered in your encoder.
- A reliable upload connection with bandwidth headroom, plus a way to preserve a local recording or source copy.
- Permission for the live and archived use of each episode and its included music or other third-party material.
You do not need a particular computer model or expensive equipment to begin; choose equipment based on the source files, desired operating hours, local recording needs, and network connection. An Ethernet connection can be useful where available, but no accessory guarantees uninterrupted streaming.

Set up the continuous broadcast
- Enable live streaming ahead of launch. In YouTube Studio, follow the live-stream setup flow and complete any verification required. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation rather than scheduling a launch at the last minute.
- Create or schedule a stream. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create or schedule the broadcast. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown there. Keep the key private: anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Connect your encoder. Paste YouTube’s stream URL and key into the encoder’s YouTube destination or custom RTMP/RTMPS fields, as appropriate for that tool. YouTube documents both RTMP/RTMPS encoder workflows and HLS ingestion. Use the preset supported by your encoder rather than assuming that one protocol is best for every setup.
- Build the episode loop in the encoder or playout system. Add the podcast files in the order you want them played and configure the tool to repeat the playlist continuously. This is not a YouTube Studio playlist setting; exact controls depend on the software or service. Check that transitions, silence, and the end of the final episode behave as intended.
- Start the feed and inspect the preview. Start sending from the encoder, then confirm that Live Control Room receives a stable preview with audible, correctly synchronized audio and visible video. Do not announce the stream until you have checked the public watch page and verified that viewers can access it.
- Start the broadcast from Live Control Room. Once the preview and watch page are right, start the live stream there. Keep the encoder or playout system running and monitor the feed while it is live.
- Keep an independent copy. Record locally or retain the original source files, and confirm that the recording is actually growing during the broadcast. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” Its live-stream archiving guidance also recommends recording a local archive as a backup.
Choose a protocol and network setup carefully
YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS encoder workflows as well as HLS ingestion. HLS has higher latency than RTMP and has specific segment and playlist requirements; follow the chosen encoder’s YouTube-compatible preset and test it before a long run. YouTube’s HLS ingestion guidance describes those requirements. The protocol documentation does not establish a universal best option for looping podcast archives.
Use a dependable outbound connection and leave bandwidth headroom rather than running the connection at its practical limit. YouTube cautions in its streaming tips that “A disruption on your connectivity could mean a broken stream.” A wired Ethernet connection may reduce reliance on Wi-Fi, but it cannot prevent outages elsewhere in the network or encoder.

Check rights before putting the archive on air
YouTube’s live-stream terms place responsibility on the broadcaster to have the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including applicable music licensing rights. Owning or having previously published a podcast recording does not by itself establish that all rights needed for a new continuous livestream and its archive are covered.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can interrupt or terminate a broadcast, and licensed third-party material may still require the rights owner to allowlist your channel through Content ID. Review rights for every episode, guest contribution, music bed, clip, and other included material; when content is licensed, ask the rights owner whether Content ID allowlisting is needed. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
