What the announced controls do
Gust’s official announcement describes three relevant behaviors for Karia’s body shape. The feature is planned for a game still in development, so the final labels and interface may change before release.

The official survey-results announcement attributes the feature decision to more than 38,000 responses. That figure describes the response count for the announcement, not a guaranteed number of body-shape options or a promise that every requested control will ship unchanged.
Is there a body-shape slider or a reset button?
Nothing in the published announcement confirms a free-moving numeric slider. It also does not document a command that immediately resets Karia to her original or default proportions. Describing the feature as a conventional slider would therefore overstate what is known.

The wording supports a progression driven by snack consumption, plus controls that stop or preserve the result. It does not establish that players can drag between every possible intermediate form, enter a value, or select a previous stage from a list.
What “reset” means in the current information
Players commonly use “reset” to mean one of three different actions:
- Undoing a shape change that has already happened.
- Preventing any additional change from future snacks.
- Returning to a specific preferred appearance and keeping it there.
Only the second and third goals have announced counterparts: OFF addresses future changes, and LOCK preserves a preferred form. An undo or default-restoration function remains unconfirmed.

How to stop Karia getting bigger from snacks
If your priority is to prevent additional snack-driven changes, the documented choice is to turn body-shape changes OFF. Gust states that, with the feature OFF, Karia’s body shape will not change no matter how much she eats.

- Open the game’s body-shape or related settings area when the feature is available.
- Find the body-shape change toggle.
- Set it to OFF.
- Confirm the setting if the released interface asks for confirmation.
The first three steps describe the intended action, not a published menu path. Gust has not released the exact screen name, button prompt, controller input, or confirmation sequence. Those details should be checked against the in-game manual or a launch-day interface guide.
OFF should be treated as a freeze on subsequent changes. There is no evidence that it silently recalculates Karia’s current form or moves her backward through a progression.
How to preserve a preferred body shape
LOCK is intended for players who want to keep a particular appearance while retaining the body-shape feature. The announcement specifically says that a preferred shape can be locked so further eating will not change it, even while body-shape changes are ON.

A practical way to use LOCK
- With body-shape changes enabled, allow Karia to reach the appearance you prefer.
- Use the release version’s body-shape control to apply LOCK to that form.
- Continue playing and feeding Karia without expecting additional snack-driven shape changes while the lock remains active.
This workflow assumes the final game exposes the controls in the way the announcement describes. The announcement does not say whether the lock is applied from a separate menu, a confirmation prompt, a dedicated button, or an interaction with Karia.

What LOCK does not promise
LOCK is described as protection against further eating-related changes. It is not described as a way to browse all forms, rewind to an earlier form, or restore a factory default. The effects of unlocking, changing the selected form, or switching the main feature OFF after locking have not been published.
What happens when you switch settings?
The available wording supports a clear distinction between stopping progression and preserving a selected result:

- The exact menu location and final wording of the settings.
- Controller, keyboard, or touch inputs.
- The starting body shape and whether it is called “default.”
- The number of body-shape stages or the thresholds between them.
- Whether snack quantity is cumulative, session-based, or affected by other gameplay systems.
- Whether a change can be reversed after it occurs.
- How a preferred shape is selected and whether every visible stage can be locked.
- What unlocking does to later snack-based progression.
- Whether settings apply globally, per save file, or per character state.
Until Gust publishes those details, guides that provide a precise button sequence, a list of body types, or a guaranteed reset method would be guessing.

You want Karia’s appearance to remain unchanged
Use OFF before continuing snack-focused play. This is the only announced method that prevents later eating from changing her body shape regardless of snack quantity.
You want to watch the feature but stop at one appearance
Leave changes ON while Karia reaches the form you like, then use LOCK if the released interface provides it. This keeps the feature available without allowing additional eating to alter the selected form.
You changed your mind after a shape change
Do not assume that OFF is an undo. The announcement only guarantees that future snacks stop producing changes. Check the final manual for a separate restore, rewind, or appearance-selection function.

You need precise control over an intermediate form
There is no confirmed numeric slider or complete list of stages. If exact customization matters, wait for official documentation showing how forms are selected and whether intermediate appearances can be chosen directly.
How to verify the final controls at launch
When the game becomes available, verify the feature in this order:
- Read the in-game help entry for body shape and snacks.
- Record the exact labels used for the main toggle and the lock function.
- Check whether the help text distinguishes preventing future changes from restoring a previous shape.
- Test settings on a disposable save if the game supports separate saves, because persistence and unlocking behavior are not yet documented.
- Confirm whether the setting affects only snack-related changes or any other appearance system.
Use the game’s own wording as the authority if it differs from the pre-release announcement. Development changes can alter labels, placement, and available options without changing the underlying goal of the feature.

There is no confirmed reset-to-default command and no confirmed numeric body-shape slider. ON allows snack quantity to influence Karia’s shape. OFF prevents additional snack-driven changes, while LOCK protects a preferred shape against further eating.
