Find the model number on the unit or its documentation, then check its manual or LG support page before trying a sequence. If you are troubleshooting no sound, first check volume, mute, input, TV audio output, cables, and the connected source; a reset will not fix a misconfigured connection.
Find your model before resetting
LG’s USA Support article “[LG Audio] How can I reset the sound bar?”, dated July 9, 2025, lists different reset methods for different model groups. Identify your full model number and confirm the instructions in that model’s manual or LG support page. The examples below are not a complete list of LG sound bars.

For the listed procedures, turn on the sound bar, hold the named controls together for more than 5 seconds unless noted otherwise, and look for “E2P CLR” on the display. LG says the unit powers off automatically after this appears; turn it back on and check operation.

If “E2P CLR” appears but the reset does not resolve the fault, LG says to contact its service manager. Do not substitute a sequence from another model if your model is not listed.

If there is no sound, check the signal path first
Before resetting, work from the source toward the sound bar. LG’s “No sound from connected external audio equipment” guidance recommends checking these points:
- Raise the TV and sound bar volume, and make sure neither is muted.
- Confirm the sound bar is set to the input connected to the TV or other source.
- For HDMI or optical connections, set the TV’s audio output to the external audio device.
- Check that cables are fully connected and undamaged.
- If a set-top box is involved, check its volume and cable connection too.
- Confirm the program, video, or other source is actually playing.
If the sound bar produces no sound from any connected device after these checks, LG says the unit may need repair. Its support article, “No sound from connected external audio equipment”, is dated November 5, 2025.

If the problem is Bluetooth pairing or dropouts
Pair with the intended device
Put the sound bar into Bluetooth pairing mode, then select it as the active audio output on the TV, phone, or computer. The exact TV menu path varies by webOS generation and settings; use the instructions for your TV. LG’s Bluetooth connection and audio dropouts guide was published August 20, 2026.
Reduce interference and restore speaker links
For Bluetooth dropouts or distortion, LG recommends keeping nearby wireless devices such as routers and microwaves at least 3 feet (1 m) away and clearing obstacles where possible. If a wireless subwoofer or rear speaker has lost its connection, check its indicator and press the pairing button on the back of the affected speaker. Google Home setup reset is a separate procedure
For a Wi-Fi setup issue covered by LG’s Google Home troubleshooting guide—not as a general reset for every sound bar—LG specifies this sequence:
- Close the Google Home app.
- Unplug the product for 10 seconds, reconnect power, and turn it on.
- Hold the top-panel Mic Mute button for 5 seconds. The front display should show “RESET,” and the product reboots.
- Allow about 1 minute for the sound bar to boot, then retry setup.
These steps apply to the setup context in LG’s “LG Sound Bar – Google Home Not Connecting” article, dated November 4, 2023. They are not a replacement for your model’s reset instructions.

When to contact LG support
Contact LG support or arrange repair if your model’s documented reset fails, if the reset displays “E2P CLR” but the fault remains, or if the sound bar has no sound from multiple connected sources after the basic checks. Have the full model number and a description of the connection type and troubleshooting already tried ready. LG’s reset article says, “If the button on the sound bar does not work or if there is no sound, then reset the product.” That advice accompanies its model-specific methods; it does not make those methods interchangeable.
