Reports are anonymous. KICK may not tell you what action, if any, followed a report, so do not treat the absence of a status message as proof that nothing happened.

Before you report: protect yourself and preserve usable facts
Deal with immediate danger first
If somebody is being attacked, threatened with serious injury, trapped, or exposed to an unfolding hazard, call the emergency number for your location. A platform report is not a substitute for police, fire, medical or animal-welfare responders who can intervene in the physical world. KICK’s own help guidance says to contact local emergency services first when you are in immediate physical danger.
After making that call, you can report the broadcast so KICK can address the account and limit further exposure. Do not confront the streamer, attempt a rescue yourself, trespass, or reveal your location while trying to gather proof.
Record only what you can obtain safely
Write down the channel or account name, the direct URL, the stream or VOD title, the date and time (including your time zone), and the exact point in the video where the conduct appears. Screenshots can show the scene, account identity or chat context. If a VOD is available, note its timestamp rather than relying on a screen recording that may omit surrounding context.

- Describe what is visible or audible; do not present guesses about motives as facts.
- Keep the original URL and do not alter screenshots in a way that removes relevant context.
- Do not download, trade or redistribute illegal material. A link and timestamp are normally more useful than circulating a copy.
- Do not repeatedly revisit an unsafe scene merely to collect more evidence.
How to report a channel or VOD on the web
The web control is attached to the video player, not hidden in a general account-settings page. Follow these steps while viewing the relevant channel or recording.
- Open the KICK channel or VOD that contains the conduct.
- Move to the bottom-right area of the video player and select the Report icon.
- Choose the category that most closely describes the violation. For animal suffering, select the animal-abuse or the closest violence-related option shown in your interface. For reckless conduct, choose the dangerous-activity or closest safety category.
- In the description, identify who appears involved, what happened, when it happened and why it fits the selected rule. Include one or more timestamps and the URL.
- Review the text for accuracy and submit one report for that issue.
If several separate incidents occur, describe each incident with its own timestamp in the same report when they belong to the same broadcast and rule. File another report only for a genuinely separate issue; KICK’s help center says, “Please file only one report per issue.”

How to report a chat message, user, streamer, clip or VOD
Chat messages
Select the message in chat and choose Report. Quote the relevant wording accurately, identify the author and add the time it appeared. A message that encourages abuse, threatens someone or directs viewers toward a dangerous act may be useful supporting context even when the principal violation is visible in the video.
Users and streamers
Select the username and choose Report when the account itself is the target. Explain the conduct rather than relying on labels such as “bad” or “dangerous.” Include a profile or channel URL and indicate whether the behavior is continuing, repeated or connected to a particular broadcast.
Clips and recorded videos
KICK supports reports against clips and VODs as well as live channels. Use the reporting control attached to the item when available, then provide the clip or VOD URL and the exact segment. A short clip can omit what happened before or after it, so explain any context you personally observed without claiming facts the recording does not establish.
What KICK means by animal abuse
KICK’s Violence guideline states that content involving animals is assessed in context. It prohibits unnecessary suffering or harm, including illegal or abusive practices. The guideline also says lawful activities such as regulated hunting or cultural practices are permitted when that context applies.
Conduct that can warrant a report
- Deliberately inflicting pain, injury or distress on an animal for entertainment, punishment or a broadcast spectacle.
- Using an animal in an illegal or abusive practice, including conduct presented as hunting when it is unlawful or needlessly cruel.
- Continuing harmful treatment after the person has a reasonable opportunity to stop.
- Encouraging viewers to participate in, imitate or escalate the harm.
Describe the observable action, the animal’s apparent condition and the point at which it occurred. Avoid diagnosing an injury or asserting a criminal offence unless the evidence in the broadcast supports that wording.

Why context changes the assessment
Lawful regulated hunting and cultural practices are not automatically violations under the quoted guideline. Moderators may consider whether the activity is legal and customary in the relevant setting, what the creator intended, how involved the creator was, the reaction to an unexpected event, the outcome, outside influences and the channel’s history. An accidental incident followed by a responsible attempt to stop harm can be treated differently from a creator who causes or escalates it.

KICK’s Personal Safety and Self-Harm guideline says high-risk activities and dangerous stunts should be performed only by professionals, and creators must not put themselves in unsafe situations that could lead to serious injury or death. Its suspension guidance describes dangerous activity as reckless driving, reckless operation of machinery or any conduct creating a serious risk of physical harm to bystanders.
Examples to identify in your report
- Driving at reckless speed, operating a vehicle while impaired or deliberately placing passengers and bystanders in danger.
- Using power tools, industrial equipment, firearms or other machinery in a reckless way.
- Performing a stunt with a serious, foreseeable risk of injury or death, particularly when untrained participants or bystanders are exposed.
- Creating a hazardous scene and urging viewers or other participants to copy it.
Explain the mechanism of risk: identify the vehicle or machinery, who was exposed, what action created the danger and whether the activity was still underway. A dramatic scene is not automatically a violation; the report should connect the observed conduct to a serious physical-risk concern.
How to write a report moderators can act on
KICK Help Center guidance says, “The more clear and specific your report, the faster we can act on it.” Specificity means giving verifiable details, not writing a longer emotional complaint.
Use a four-part description
- Identify the target: state the channel, account, clip or VOD name and include its URL.
- State the event: describe exactly what appears on screen or in chat, using neutral verbs.
- Locate it: give the timestamp, date and time zone; for chat, include the message time and the surrounding exchange if necessary.
- Explain the rule fit: say why the conduct appears to involve unnecessary animal suffering, illegal or abusive practice, reckless operation, a dangerous stunt or another specific guideline.
A useful description might read: “At 01:14:32 in the VOD at [URL], the streamer repeatedly strikes the dog with a metal object while it attempts to move away. The action continues for about 20 seconds. This appears to be unnecessary suffering under the Violence guideline.” Replace the bracketed URL with the real address; do not include assumptions about intent that the recording cannot establish.

Attach context without overwhelming the report
Include the clearest screenshots, not a large unrelated bundle. If an image does not show the account, scene or timing, explain why it matters. Mention whether the broadcast is live, whether the danger is ongoing and whether emergency services have been contacted. For email, KICK specifically recommends factual wording, correct categorization and timestamps or screenshots.

For a Terms of Service complaint that needs email, use [email protected]. Put the account or content URL, the rule category, timestamps, dates and a concise factual description in the message. Keep one issue per report so the recipient can match the evidence to the allegation.
KICK lists [email protected] for serious threats and [email protected] for general guideline questions. An email does not replace emergency services for an immediate physical threat. If someone is in imminent danger, make the emergency call first and then send the platform report when it is safe.
What happens after submission
Moderation review
Every platform report enters a moderation queue. Reviewers examine the reported material and related context under the Community Guidelines. They may consider the creator’s intent, level of involvement, reaction, outcome, external influences and channel history rather than judging a single frame in isolation.

Possible outcomes

| Temporary, indefinite or permanent suspension | The account may lose access for a defined period, an unspecified period or permanently, depending on severity and history. |
Timing and urgent broadcasts
There is no fixed public response-time promise. Review speed depends on the complexity of the report, whether more information is needed, current processing volume and whether the event is still happening. KICK says urgent ongoing harmful broadcasts are prioritized. A clear timestamped report helps reviewers locate the relevant material, but it cannot guarantee a particular decision or response time.
Anonymity, duplicate reports and good-faith use
KICK says reports are anonymous, so the streamer or account normally should not receive your identity through the reporting system. Confidentiality does not make it safe to publish accusations elsewhere; avoid doxxing, harassment or mobilizing viewers against the reported person.
Submit one report per issue. Repeating an identical report does not accelerate review. Coordinated false reports, deliberately choosing the wrong category or abusing the system can lead to action against the reporting account. If new evidence appears, add it through the appropriate channel rather than sending a series of duplicate submissions.
Troubleshooting common reporting problems
The report icon is not visible
Confirm that you are viewing the channel or VOD’s video player and look at its bottom-right corner. If you are focused on chat or a separate page, use the message or username menu instead. Capture the URL and timestamps while the content remains available, then use the relevant email address if the in-player route still cannot be accessed.

Choose the closest truthful category and explain the uncertainty in neutral language. Do not select several unrelated categories merely to increase attention. A description that identifies the animal suffering or physical-risk mechanism gives moderators a basis to recategorize the report.
The stream ended before you could report it
Check whether a VOD or clip remains and report that item with its timestamp. If no recording is available, provide the channel or account URL, approximate date and time, what you observed and any screenshots you safely captured. Do not fabricate a timestamp or claim to have seen material you did not see.
You fear retaliation
Use the anonymous reporting route, do not contact the streamer, and remove identifying details from screenshots that are not needed to establish the violation. If the content includes a direct threat against you or another person, contact local authorities as well as KICK’s serious-threat address.
