The exact labels and prompts may vary; Swiggy’s published guidance directs customers to report issues through the platform rather than giving a fixed set of app steps. Follow any instructions in the claim flow and provide the details or evidence requested. For damage, it is sensible to keep the item and packaging and take clear photos in case they help explain the issue, but Swiggy’s public policy does not establish a universal photo requirement.

If an item is missing, report it before delivery is marked complete
Swiggy’s refund policy specifically says a missing item at delivery must be communicated to Customer Care through the platform before the order is marked delivered. If you spot the omission while the delivery is still in progress, raise it immediately rather than waiting until later.
For cash-on-delivery orders, the same policy says customers are not required to pay for an order with damaged or tampered packaging, a wrong order or missing items if they communicate the issue through the platform before the order is marked delivered. This describes Swiggy’s stated policy for those circumstances; it is not a broader statement about legal rights.

For a damaged item, check its claim conditions
Describe what is damaged, whether the packaging appears tampered with, and which item is affected. Instamart’s cancellation and refund policy lists damaged or tampered packaging, incomplete orders and incorrect items among the circumstances for which a refund or replacement may be considered.
The claim window is the one specified on the product description page, not a universal deadline for every Instamart item. For example, one Instamart product listing states a three-day window for damaged or defective items and limits incorrect-item requests to items that are sealed, unopened and unused. Those terms apply to that listing only; check the affected product’s own terms.

What resolution can you expect?
Depending on the issue and the applicable terms, the policy describes a possible refund or replacement. It says a refund may be up to 100% of the item or order value, where applicable, but that is a policy ceiling—not a promised amount or a claim-success rate. The claim must fall within the relevant window, meet evidence requirements and satisfy the policy conditions; the policy also says a resolution will not be provided without merchant permission. Use in-app support to check the status of your specific claim.

Swiggy states that it has no official customer-care phone line and directs customers to in-app support. Do not rely on phone numbers found in search results, social posts or unsolicited messages claiming to be Swiggy support. Swiggy warns customers not to share an account number, UPI PIN, CVV, OTP or card details with unknown people posing as support. If you need help, return to the affected order in the app and use its support options.
