It is not a set of twelve fully playable games: two entries are HD cutscene compilations, and another is an HD movie. Square Enix’s official contents list identifies what each package contains.
What’s included in the PS5 collection?
The collection brings together three existing Kingdom Hearts packages. Square Enix describes the releases as available natively on current-generation consoles, rather than as cloud versions. The announced PS5 release date is October 8, 2026; as of October 7, 2026, that date is still in the future. Square Enix’s June 10, 2026 announcement gives the date and platform details.

Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallAre 358/2 Days and Re:coded playable here?
No: in this collection, 358/2 Days and Re:coded are represented by HD cutscene compilations, not full playable versions of their original games. χ Back Cover is identified as an HD movie. The official descriptions distinguish these from the collection’s remasters, games, and short episode. That makes “twelve fully playable games” an inaccurate description of the bundle. #1 Best Overall
- KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III] Amazon Exclusive Edition includes a double-sided poster.
- A value packed bundle featuring three collections: KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC).
- This product is also included in other bundle sets. Please ensure you do not purchase the same content more than once.
- Platform-exclusive Keyblade "Midnight Blue" included with purchase!
- To play the physical version of KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I–III], an internet connection and additional data download are required.
Is Melody of Memory included?
No. KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory is a separate rhythm-action game and is not named in the collection’s contents. Square Enix lists it separately with its own platform editions. Its absence does not establish that it is required to understand the titles included here, and the official contents list should not be treated as an exhaustive catalog of every Kingdom Hearts release. Square Enix’s Melody of Memory page describes the separate game.

Physical edition requires a download
Square Enix says the physical edition requires an internet connection and an additional data download. The official pages reviewed do not state the download size or explain exactly what is playable before the download finishes. The disc therefore should not be assumed to contain everything needed to start playing offline. The North American Square Enix Store listing gives the physical-edition requirement.

Availability and store terms vary
Square Enix announced PS5 availability for October 8, 2026, and its North American store lists a physical edition. The official pages also establish digital availability, but store stock, pricing, and terms depend on region and can change; check the relevant local store for current details. The official pages reviewed do not provide the download size or the exact division of data between disc and download.
Preorder bonus is regional and time-limited
The Canadian PlayStation Store listing advertises a PS5-exclusive “Midnight Blue” Keyblade and says eligible preorders placed by 11:59 p.m. on October 7, 2026 receive 48 hours of early access. These terms are specific to that regional listing and deadline, so confirm them on the store page rather than assuming they apply elsewhere or remain available.
