To remove Samsung Calendar, open Settings > Apps > Calendar and check which action your Galaxy phone offers. Tap Uninstall to remove the app if available, or Disable to stop a preinstalled copy from running. If neither option appears, you can hide its icon instead. The available controls vary by model and software version, so use the labels on your phone as your guide.
Choose the option that matches what you want

Samsung notes that some preinstalled apps can be deleted, some can be disabled, and others can only be hidden. Its UK support guide, updated 26 May 2026, also says menus and layouts can vary by device model, software version, or app version. Uninstall Calendar if your phone allows it
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps, then select Calendar. If needed, use the app list’s search function.
- If Uninstall appears, tap it and confirm.
On some phones, you can also touch and hold Calendar in the Apps screen and choose Uninstall. That action is available only when the phone permits the app to be uninstalled. For Samsung’s explanation of uninstalling versus disabling, see Manage apps on your Samsung Galaxy.
Disable Calendar if uninstall is unavailable
- Go to Settings > Apps > Calendar.
- Tap Disable, if shown, and confirm the prompt.
Disabling stops the preloaded app from running and removes it from the Apps screen, but does not remove its installed files. To undo this later, open Settings > Apps, select the disabled Calendar app, and tap Enable.

Hide Calendar when you only want to remove its icon
On Samsung’s documented interface, open the Apps screen and go to More > Settings > Hide apps on Home and Apps screens. Select Calendar and tap Done. To show it again, return to the same menu, deselect Calendar, and tap Done. Menu wording may differ on your phone. Hiding affects where the app appears, not whether it is installed.
If you mean a calendar or its events, not the app
Removing Samsung Calendar is different from removing events or disconnecting a calendar account. The app can show calendars connected to services such as Google or Outlook, and synced events may remain in those accounts and appear on other devices. Samsung describes the app’s account support in its guide to Galaxy Calculator, Calendar, and Clock apps.

Stop seeing one calendar in Samsung Calendar
Open Calendar > Menu > Manage calendars and turn off the display switch for the calendar you do not want to see. This changes its visibility in the app; it does not uninstall Calendar.

Change account sync only after checking where events are stored
Samsung’s Google Calendar instructions give this account path: Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts > Google account > Sync account. Before changing sync, confirm whether important events are stored on the phone or in the online account. Samsung warns that incorrect Google sync setup can result in events saved on the phone or in the Google account being deleted. Its Google Calendar sync guide, updated 22 May 2026, notes that menu details may vary.

If an event should be deleted rather than hidden, check the account or service where it originated. Samsung explains that synced calendar events may need to be hidden or deleted at their source in its Galaxy calendar-event deletion guidance. Clearing Calendar app data is not a routine way to remove the app; Samsung lists it as troubleshooting for event problems, and events may return when the app syncs again.
