To take Logan’s mask off in Marvel’s Wolverine, pause the game, open the suit menu, select the suit he is wearing, then use the on-screen TOGGLE COWL prompt. The gameplay guide says the change also appears in cutscenes.
How to toggle Logan’s cowl off
- Pause the game and open the suit menu.
- Highlight Logan’s current suit. The toggle applies to the suit he is wearing.
- Choose TOGGLE COWL. Follow the control glyph shown beside the prompt in your game; the available sources do not specify one universal button or keyboard key.
- Check the preview. It should switch between the masked and unmasked appearance. Close the menu when Logan looks the way you want.

Does the mask stay off in cutscenes?
Yes, according to that gameplay guide: it reports that the cowl setting carries into both normal gameplay and cinematics. The same guide describes the change as cosmetic—it removes the mask portion without changing the selected suit or combat mechanics.
What the official feature information confirms
PlayStation’s August 28, 2026 feature article confirms that some cowls and hats can be toggled on or off: “And you can choose to toggle some of those cowls and hats on or off.” It does not give the menu steps or name a universal control input. Platform and accessibility note
Marvel’s Wolverine launched worldwide exclusively for PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s release announcement. Insomniac’s accessibility options page describes other customization settings, but does not identify an accessibility option for hiding Logan’s cowl. Use the suit menu’s toggle for this change.
