Remove a Netflix game through your device, not through Netflix itself. On Android, open the game’s Google Play listing and tap Uninstall. On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold the icon, choose Remove App, then Delete App. Before deleting, check whether the game uses cloud saves: cloud progress can return after a reinstall with the same Netflix profile, while a local-only save is permanently lost when the game is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
What “discontinued” means before you delete anything
A game that no longer appears in Netflix is not necessarily discontinued. Netflix identifies at least two other causes: the device may be incompatible, or the active profile’s maturity setting may be below the game’s rating. Check the phone or tablet’s operating-system compatibility and confirm that you are using the intended Netflix profile before treating the title as removed.

If the game has genuinely been withdrawn, its future behavior is title-specific. Netflix does not publish one universal rule saying that every delisted game will stop launching, remain available for reinstallation, or continue authenticating. The result can depend on the game’s store listing and the service state for that particular title. Removing the installed app is still a device-level action: it does not delete your Netflix account or profile.

How to uninstall the game on Android
Netflix’s Android instruction is explicit: games must be uninstalled from the Google Play Store app; they cannot be deleted from inside the Netflix app.

- Open Google Play Store on the Android phone or tablet.
- Search for the Netflix game by its exact title.
- Open the game’s store listing. If the listing is still available for the device, the page shows the installed-app controls.
- Tap Uninstall.
- Confirm the removal when Google Play asks.
This removes the game application from that Android device. It does not cancel Netflix, remove the Netflix account, or erase the profile itself. The effect on game progress depends on whether the title stores saves in the Netflix profile or only on the device.
If the game is absent from search, do not assume that uninstalling Netflix will remove it. Check the device’s installed-app controls and the game’s own Play Store listing. A missing listing can reflect compatibility, profile maturity, or the title’s service status; Netflix does not provide a single reinstall rule for all withdrawn games.
How to delete the game on iPhone or iPad
On iOS and iPadOS, use Apple’s app-removal controls:

- Touch and hold the Netflix game icon.
- Tap Remove App.
- Tap Delete App.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
As on Android, this is an app deletion on the current device. It does not delete the Netflix account or the profile that was used to play. Save data is handled separately, so check the game’s cloud-save support before confirming.
What happens to your save data
Netflix warns that deleting a game permanently removes its game saves unless the game supports cloud saves. “Cloud” in this context means the progress is associated with the Netflix account profile rather than kept solely in the game’s local files.

How to decide whether it is safe to remove the app
Open the game while it is still installed and look for an in-game account, cloud-save, or synchronization indicator. Netflix’s general guidance is the controlling warning: unless that title supports cloud saves, assume the save is local and will not survive deletion. Do not rely on the fact that you entered Netflix credentials; a title can still keep its actual save files on the device.
For a cloud-save game, record the exact Netflix profile name or avatar you used. Reinstalling under a different profile can make the game appear to have no progress because the saves belong to the original profile. Keeping the profile is essential; deleting it removes the cloud saves even if the game remains installed elsewhere.
For a local-only game, do not uninstall, clear the game’s data, or reset the original device if the progress matters. Netflix states that there is no manual way to transfer those saves to another device or profile, and a deleted local save cannot be reconstructed through Netflix support.
Storage requirements and Android permission settings
Netflix mobile games are downloaded from Google Play or the App Store. The device therefore needs enough free storage for the game and its downloaded files. A game can be visible in Netflix but fail during installation if the phone or tablet does not have sufficient space.

- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps or Apps Manager; the label varies by Android version.
- Select Netflix.
- Tap Permissions.
- Select Storage and enable it when the installation requires it.
Android’s labels and permission categories differ across manufacturers and versions. Enable the permission only when needed for the download or installation, and review the prompt so you know which app is requesting access. This setting controls Android storage access; it is separate from a Netflix profile’s save capability.

Clearing Netflix app data is not the same as uninstalling one game. Netflix warns that clearing its app data deletes downloaded content from the device or an SD card. If you are trying to recover space, first remove the specific game through Google Play or the iOS app controls. Clear Netflix data only when you understand that offline Netflix downloads on that device or card will also be removed.
Clearing a game’s own data has a different risk: for a local-only save, it permanently deletes the progress. Treat both actions as destructive until you have confirmed cloud-save support.
Why a Netflix game may be missing
A title disappearing from the Netflix app does not by itself prove that Netflix discontinued it for everyone. Work through these checks in order:
Check the active profile’s maturity setting
Netflix can hide a game when the current profile’s maturity setting is below the game’s rating. Switch to the profile that originally played the title, or review the profile’s maturity controls, before deleting anything. A title may be available to one profile and absent from another on the same device.

Check device and operating-system compatibility
Netflix lists incompatible devices as another reason a game may not appear. Verify that the phone or tablet is running a supported operating-system version and meets the title’s requirements. A game that was visible on an older device may disappear after changing hardware or profiles even though it has not been withdrawn universally.
Check the store listing
Search Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone and iPad. The store listing is the relevant installation surface for the game. If the listing is unavailable, the store may no longer offer that build to your device or region, or the title may have been removed. Netflix’s general help does not establish a universal outcome for a delisted game: it may or may not continue to launch or authenticate, depending on the title and its service state.
Keep the distinction between visibility and saved progress
A missing Netflix tile and a deleted save are different problems. If the game is hidden because of compatibility or maturity settings, changing the eligible device or profile may restore access. If the app was deleted, the save question is governed by cloud-save support. Do not delete the profile while troubleshooting; profile deletion permanently removes cloud saves and cannot be undone.

Reinstallation is possible only while the game’s store listing and service continue to support it on the device. For Android, return to the Google Play listing and install from there. For iPhone or iPad, use the App Store listing. Netflix does not promise that every discontinued title remains downloadable or that a previously installed copy will continue to authenticate.
When a cloud-save title is available again, install it and sign in to the same Netflix account profile used for the original progress. Netflix says that profile-based progress can be resumed after a reinstall or on another device. Using a different profile can produce a new, empty save even when the account itself is correct.
When a title used local saves, reinstalling does not restore the deleted files. There is no Netflix-supported manual export or transfer to another profile or device. The only reliable preservation step is to avoid removing the local data in the first place.
Troubleshooting common removal and installation problems
The game appears in Netflix but there is no Android uninstall button
Open Google Play Store and search for the game directly. Netflix is not the Android uninstall surface for its games. The Play Store listing is where the Uninstall control appears when Android recognizes the app as installed.
The game cannot be found in Google Play or the App Store
Confirm the exact title, the device’s operating-system version, and the active Netflix profile’s maturity setting. If the listing remains absent, the title may be unavailable for that device or may have been withdrawn. There is no blanket Netflix rule that guarantees a delisted game can be reinstalled or will keep working.

Installation stops because of storage
Free space on the device before retrying. Netflix games are store downloads and require local storage. Remove the specific game or other unneeded downloads through the platform’s normal controls rather than clearing Netflix app data, which also removes Netflix downloads on the device or SD card.
Android reports a missing storage permission
On an older Android device, follow Settings > Apps (or Apps Manager) > Netflix > Permissions > Storage and enable Storage when needed. Return to the store listing and retry the installation. If the labels differ, use the equivalent app-permission screen supplied by that Android version.
The game starts over after reinstalling
First verify that you selected the same Netflix profile. If the title supports cloud saves, the original progress is tied to that profile. If it does not, uninstalling or clearing data permanently removed the local save, and Netflix provides no manual recovery or transfer method.
You deleted the Netflix profile by mistake
Profile deletion permanently removes the saves associated with that profile. Netflix states that those saves cannot be restored. Recreating a profile with the same name does not recreate its deleted game data.

- Confirm that the game is truly unavailable rather than hidden by device compatibility or profile maturity settings.
- Check whether the title supports cloud saves.
- For cloud saves, note the exact Netflix profile that owns the progress.
- For local saves, keep the game and its data on the original device if the progress matters.
- On Android, uninstall from the Google Play Store; on iPhone or iPad, use Remove App > Delete App.
- Use Android’s Netflix storage permission only when the installation requires it.
- Avoid clearing Netflix app data unless you accept the loss of downloaded Netflix content on the device or SD card.
- Do not delete the Netflix profile as a storage or troubleshooting shortcut.
The practical answer for a discontinued title
Delete the installed game with the platform controls, but make the save decision first. Cloud-save progress can follow the same Netflix profile to a reinstall or another supported device; local-only progress cannot. If the title is missing, investigate compatibility, profile maturity, and the store listing before concluding that Netflix discontinued it. Beyond those checks, whether a withdrawn game still launches, reinstalls, or authenticates is specific to that title rather than governed by one universal Netflix policy.
