You can remap the Revolution 5 Pro’s four rear shortcut buttons directly on the controller in Classic mode. To customize and transfer broader profiles, use Nacon’s companion app on a computer: edit the profile, save it, and send it to the controller.
Remap a rear shortcut button on the controller
This Classic-mode procedure remaps one of the four rear shortcut buttons; it does not require the app. Nacon’s support instructions and user manual describe the following sequence:

- Press and hold the multi-function button for three seconds. The light ring around the right joystick flashes to indicate mapping mode.
- Press the rear shortcut button you want to program. Its associated profile LED lights up.
- Press the controller button you want to assign to that shortcut. The profile LED flashes three times to indicate the mapping has been applied.
- Repeat the selection and assignment steps for any other rear shortcuts you want to change.
- Press the multi-function button briefly to leave mapping mode and save. The light ring stops flashing.
Nacon also describes trigger travel adjustment and touch-pad audio control as Classic-mode customization options that can be used without the app.

For broader customization, Nacon’s Advanced mode uses the Revolution 5 Pro companion app. The manufacturer advertises more than 60 setting variations and the ability to create and share profiles; these are feature claims, not independently measured performance results.

- Connect the controller to a computer. When connecting it to a PC, set the controller to PC mode.
- Launch Nacon’s companion app and edit the profile and mappings you want to change.
- Save the edited profile, then send it to the controller. Saving in the app alone is not the complete transfer procedure described by Nacon.
The controller’s built-in profiles are Racing/Sports, FPS, Arcade/Fighting, and Infiltration. Nacon describes them in terms of different joystick response curves; those descriptions explain the intended presets rather than establish independent performance findings. Software is available through the support/download area of Nacon’s product page. The precise current app layout and version-specific labels are not established here, so follow the labels shown in Nacon’s instructions where available.
Set the D-pad to eight-way movement
If the D-pad does not produce diagonal movements, Nacon’s documented fix is to change the profile mapping in the companion app, then transfer the saved profile:

- Connect the controller to a PC and open the companion app.
- Choose Edit profiles > Mapping (iii).
- Select the eight-way movement option.
- Save the profile and send it to the controller.
