To redeem Google Play Points, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, choose Play Points, then tap Use. Select an available reward and tap Use points. For in-app items, open the relevant app or game after redemption; for coupons, check the qualifying purchase conditions before paying.
Redeem points in the Play Store app
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile picture, then tap Play Points.
- Open the Use tab to see rewards available to your account.
- Choose an item, coupon, Play credit, partner voucher, or another listed offer. Review the offer details and tap Use points to confirm.
The catalog depends on your country and account, so the options shown in your own Use tab are the ones you can redeem. Google’s instructions are in Use points in the Google Play Store.

Redeem on a computer or Google Play Games on PC
On a computer, go to play.google.com, sign in, and open your profile picture, then Play Points and Use. Google also documents a redemption route through Google Play Games on PC for eligible game items; availability depends on the item and account.

What happens after you redeem a reward?
Redemption does not work the same way for every reward. Check the reward description for where to use it, its conditions, and its expiry before confirming.

Choose a reward by how you plan to spend it
- Choose an in-app item when you want a specific listed item for an eligible app or game and accept that a points redemption cannot be refunded.
- Choose a coupon when you expect to make a purchase that meets its conditions. A coupon will not necessarily cover a purchase below its credit amount.
- Choose Play credit when you want credit for eligible Google Play purchases rather than one specific in-app item.
- Choose a partner voucher only after checking where it can be redeemed and any partner-specific terms.
There is no universally best reward: values, terms, and availability differ. The live offer details in your account determine what you can use.

Check eligibility, country, and expiry
Google Play Points is not available to every account or in every country. Google’s join requirements include a supported country, a compatible computer or Android device, an eligible Google Play account, a valid payment method, a billing address matching the Play country, and age 18 or older under the stated program conditions. - Points expire one year after the last time you earned or used points.
- Points cannot be purchased, transferred to another account, or converted to cash.
- Changing your Google Play billing country causes you to lose your points, and your level does not carry over.

Fix a missing reward or a coupon that will not apply
Confirm that points were deducted
In the Play Store, open Profile picture > Play Points > More > Points history. This shows whether the redemption appears in your account history. Google also explains how to track Google Play Points.
Check the coupon’s purchase requirements
Verify that the app, item, and purchase amount meet the coupon’s terms. Google’s example notes that a $3 coupon cannot be applied to a $1.99 purchase. Also check whether another credit or promotion is already being used, since Google allows only one credit or promotion at a time.

Refresh the app if an item does not appear
- Force-stop the relevant app or game, then reopen it.
- If the reward still does not appear, clear the Google Play Store cache and check again.
- Use Clear storage or Clear data only as a later troubleshooting step: it may remove saved settings or progress.
Google’s troubleshooting guidance is available in How to fix problems with Google Play Points. If the offer is missing from the Use tab, it may be unavailable in your country, you may not have enough points, or your account or purchase may not meet the offer’s eligibility conditions.
Play Points are not Google Play gift cards
You do not need to buy a gift card to redeem points. A Google Play gift card is prepaid balance purchased separately; it is distinct from Play Points and their rewards. Gift cards are subject to country and currency restrictions and are generally not refundable or transferable except where required by law. See About Google Play gift cards and where to buy them.
