To record your iPhone screen with your voice, open Control Center, touch and hold the Screen Recording button, turn on Microphone, and tap Start Recording. After the three-second countdown, dismiss Control Center and narrate as you use your iPhone. The finished recording saves automatically in Photos.
Turn on microphone audio and start recording

Tap Microphone to turn it on, then tap Start Recording.

Wait for the three-second countdown. Dismiss Control Center and do the onscreen task while speaking. The microphone setting is enabled through the control’s long-press options; simply tapping Screen Recording does not perform that microphone-enabling step.

To stop, use the recording indicator or return to Control Center and tap its red recording control. The indicator differs by iPhone model: on iPhones with Dynamic Island, tap the red circle and then Stop Screen Recording; on other models, tap the red timer at the top left and choose Stop.

The video saves automatically to your photo library. In Photos, look under Collections > Media Types > Screen Recordings.
What may not record

Some apps may block recording their content. Apple does not identify which apps in the cited guide, so whether a particular app permits capture can vary.
