When does Phantom Blade Zero come out?
S-GAME currently lists 29 October 2026 as the release date. PlayStation’s August 2026 announcement gives 29 October but notes that the date is 28 October in the US and select regions; Steam lists 28 October 2026. These are regional date differences, not evidence of separate launch windows. Storefronts can show dates and unlock times according to location, so use your local PlayStation Store or Steam listing for the details that apply to you. The date was previously 9 September 2026. In a letter dated 2 June, S-GAME CEO and creator Soulframe said the extra time would support defined improvements, including updated character models and reworked environments. He wrote, “A 50-day delay cannot solve everything. But it does give us enough time to complete a number of clearly defined and genuinely important improvements.” That is the developer’s explanation for the schedule change, not an independent assessment of the finished game. What platforms is Phantom Blade Zero on?
The official listings establish two platforms: PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam. The sources cited here do not confirm an Xbox or other console version or release date; that does not establish that another version will never be announced. On PC, Steam identifies S-GAME Studio as developer and S-GAME Publishing as publisher, and lists the game as single-player. It also indicates Denuvo third-party DRM. Steam’s listing.

What kind of game is it?
PlayStation describes Phantom Blade Zero as a dark wuxia action RPG. You play as Soul, a swordsman with sixty-six days left to live, framed for killing his master and pursued as he investigates a conspiracy. S-GAME situates the story in the Wulin, a martial world of conflict and intrigue. What should you expect from the combat?
Combat is built around an arsenal of weapons and secondary arms rather than a single fixed fighting style. In its 17 August 2026 PlayStation Blog deep dive, S-GAME said players could unlock more than 30 main weapons and 25 Phantom Edges, upgrade weapons, and reforge them to reclaim materials. These are figures from the developer’s description, not independently verified counts. S-GAME describes three difficulty choices with different intended challenges:
- Wayfarer: aimed at players who mainly want to follow the story.
- Hellwalker: a tougher combat option with more advanced, adaptive enemy intelligence.
- Sixty-Six Days: a severe challenge.

PlayStation lists DualSense adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, as well as Tempest 3D AudioTech. Its product page also lists manual saving, adjustable difficulty, and the ability to pause during gameplay or cinematics while offline. These are platform feature claims, not hands-on findings.
