Amazon’s general Kindle Bluetooth instructions cover supported audio devices, not page-turners; its help page says Bluetooth keyboard and mouse pairing is unsupported. A report dated October 1, 2026 says Amazon introduced Kindle Click for Kindle e-readers made from 2024 onward, but check Amazon’s current instructions for your exact model before buying or trying to pair one.
Identify which kind of page-turner you have
“Bluetooth page-turner” can describe more than one kind of accessory. Check the product listing and its manual before opening Kindle settings.

The distinction matters because Kindle’s Bluetooth menu will not find an RF screen clip. Product manuals also vary, so their instructions do not establish compatibility with every Kindle generation or case.
What Amazon’s Bluetooth instructions do—and do not—cover
Amazon’s Kindle Bluetooth help page documents pairing supported Bluetooth audio devices, such as devices used for VoiceView or audiobooks. It says Kindle devices released in 2016 or later support Bluetooth connectivity, but that does not mean all such Kindles support page-turning remotes. The same page says pairing Bluetooth phones, keyboards, and mice is unsupported. A remote that acts like a keyboard or mouse should not be presumed compatible just because the Kindle has Bluetooth.

There is a newer, qualified exception to be aware of: T3 reported on October 1, 2026 that Amazon introduced Kindle Click, a Bluetooth page-turner compatible with Kindle e-readers made from 2024 onward. That is a dated secondary report, not an official setup guide. Amazon’s general Bluetooth help page does not yet document Kindle Click. Check the current accessory listing and instructions for your exact Kindle rather than extending the report to generic camera remotes, keyboard-style remotes, older models, Kindle apps, or other marketplaces.
Find your Kindle’s exact model and release year
Do not rely on a retailer’s shorthand such as “new Kindle.” Amazon cautions that not all Kindle models have been released in every marketplace, so model names and availability can vary by region.

- On the Kindle, swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Open All Settings.
- Select Device Options, then Device Info.
- Use the model information to check the accessory maker’s compatibility instructions for the exact device and market.
Amazon’s Kindle identification help page describes this device-information path. Match both model and release year against the current accessory documentation.

The following are Amazon’s documented steps for supported Bluetooth audio devices. They describe the Kindle settings path, but they are not a guaranteed Kindle Click or generic page-turner tutorial; use the page-turner’s own setup guide if it specifies a different procedure.

- Turn on the accessory, place it near the Kindle, and put it in pairing mode.
- Open Quick Actions or the Menu icon.
- Select All Settings or Settings, then Wi-Fi & Bluetooth or Wireless.
- Turn Bluetooth on and choose Bluetooth Devices to scan.
- Select the accessory and choose Connect. If asked for a PIN, select CONFIRM, then YES.
- To remove a saved device later, select Forget beside its name in the paired-device list.
Set up a screen-clip sensor and RF remote
For an RF screen-clip model, use the supplied manual rather than the Kindle Bluetooth menu. One product’s instructions say to power on the screen sensor, press the RF remote to link it, then place the clip on the display. The manual describes positioning on the left or right for previous- or next-page control; the correct orientation depends on that specific product.
- Keep the sensor’s contact point on the display, following the maker’s placement instructions.
- Test the page-turn direction and clip position before settling in to read.
- If the remote stops working, check placement and relink it to the sensor according to its manual.
These steps are product-specific, not a universal guarantee for every clip, case, or Kindle generation.

Use Kindle’s built-in double-tap page advance if your model supports it
Amazon documents accelerometer-based page advance on two 2024 models: Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (12th Generation). On either named model, open All Settings → Device Options → Double tap, then tap twice quickly on the side or back of the Kindle. Amazon says it tested its official cases but warns that the feature may not work with every third-party case. This option is not documented as a general feature for all Kindles.

- Temporarily turn off nearby Bluetooth accessories that might interfere.
- Check whether the accessory connects to another device.
- Update the Kindle software.
- Restart the Kindle and accessory.
- Reset either device only if needed.
For an RF screen-clip remote
Check that the clip’s sensor is positioned against the screen and that the remote is linked to the sensor. Follow the accessory manual; searching for the clip in Kindle Bluetooth settings will not help if it uses RF rather than Bluetooth.
Keep Kindle e-readers separate from Fire tablets and Kindle apps
Amazon describes switch access on Fire tablets, including using compatible Bluetooth devices to turn pages in Kindle books. That is a Fire tablet capability, not evidence that generic Bluetooth page-turners work with Kindle e-readers. The compatibility described here is specifically about Kindle e-readers; do not assume the same setup applies to Kindle apps on iOS or Android, or to desktop apps.
