Google does not offer a switch to turn off AI Overviews as a core Google Search feature. To see text-based links without AI Overviews on a results page, run your search and select Web in the filter row; if it is not visible, look under More. Google’s separate AI in Search setting in Search Labs only opts you out of that experiment, not all AI Overviews.

Run a search on Google as usual.

On the results page, select Web from the filter row. If you do not see it, open More and look there.

What turning off “AI in Search” in Labs does
Google also lets eligible users opt out of the AI in Search experiment in Search Labs. That is not a general off switch for AI Overviews: Google describes AI Overviews as a core Search feature and says core features cannot be turned off. The Labs control changes participation in the experiment, not the availability of all AI Overviews.

Open a new browser tab and select Labs.

Select Manage, then turn off AI in Search.
