Press Search + V or Launcher + V to open the Chromebook clipboard menu. Choose a copied item and press Enter to paste it. Google says the clipboard can hold up to five copied items.
Open the clipboard menu with a keyboard

Select text or another item and press Ctrl + C to copy it. Repeat to add more items; Google documents a limit of up to five items.

Click or tap where you want to paste, then press Search + V or Launcher + V. The shortcut opens the clipboard menu. Google’s Chromebook keyboard shortcuts lists both key combinations.

Move through the menu with Tab or the arrow keys, select the item you want, and press Enter.

Use the standard paste shortcuts

Ctrl + V pastes the current clipboard item.

Ctrl + Shift + V pastes without formatting, where the app supports that shortcut.
Access the clipboard by touch
If you prefer the touchscreen or need the on-screen keyboard, open that keyboard, select the destination, tap its Clipboard control, then tap the item to paste. To remove an item from the menu, long-press it and tap Delete. See Google’s instructions for using the on-screen keyboard.

Check which key to use
Chromebook keyboards may label the relevant key Search or Launcher. On a Windows keyboard, use the Windows key in place of Search; on a Mac keyboard, use Command. Key labels and layouts can vary. Google describes its shortcut guidance as intended for US customers using a standard English QWERTY keyboard, while noting that international keyboard users can also follow it: Google’s UK-English shortcut guidance.
Paste a screenshot or screen recording
Google says screenshots and screen recordings are automatically copied to the clipboard. After capturing one, use Ctrl + V to paste the current item, or open the clipboard menu with Search + V or Launcher + V and select an available capture. See Google’s screen capture instructions.
