Set up an HTML element monitor
- Sign in or create an account. Start a page monitor and choose the HTML element monitoring type. Hexowatch’s page-change workflow outlines the general sequence of creating an account, choosing a monitoring type, and configuring it.
- Enter the page URL and preview it. Use the target page where the value or content appears. The HTML element walkthrough describes previewing the page in a browser-like interface and selecting an element.

There is no documented universal wait duration or rendering guarantee. If a delay is necessary, increase it enough for the target content to appear and validate that the monitor consistently reaches that content. - Account for page state: If content depends on a click, form entry, cookie, or navigation step, make sure the configured sequence reaches the same state during monitoring.
- Choose the signal deliberately: A value-specific element, visible text, a screenshot, and source HTML can report different kinds of change.
Troubleshoot a monitor that misses the content
The preview does not show the value
Wait for the page to render and use the documented delay or interaction controls if the content appears only after an action. Recheck the URL and repeat the same navigation, click, field entry, popup dismissal, or cookie setup needed to reveal the value.
The selected element captures the wrong information
Return to the preview and select the precise field or element that holds the value. If the page structure makes that difficult, consider whether visible-content monitoring is a better fit for text changes, or visual monitoring if the meaningful change is in appearance.

The monitor works in preview but not in the captured result
Review the first monitored capture and compare its state with the preview. Adjust the delay or interaction sequence, then confirm the revised result before depending on notifications. The documentation does not establish that every site state, authentication method, or CAPTCHA-protected workflow is supported.
Checks do not run at the interval you want
Compare the requested interval and expected monthly checks with the current plan limits listed on the pricing page. Choose an interval within those limits.
