But YouTube does not document whether a currently live item will advance to the next entry or repeat when the broadcast ends. If you need unattended playback, test the exact playlist, browser, software image, and network you plan to use.
Loop a playlist in YouTube on the Nano
- Open the Nano’s desktop or connect to it remotely. Use a browser available for the Nano software image you have installed. NVIDIA’s setup guide describes desktop use with a display, keyboard, and mouse; the exact connection method depends on your existing setup. NVIDIA’s Jetson Nano Developer Kit getting-started guide recommends a 32 GB UHS-1 microSD card.
- Open the YouTube playlist and start one of its videos. YouTube’s documented computer procedure begins from a video in the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video. Select Loop in the panel. YouTube says the playlist will repeat continuously. The control applies to the playlist, rather than just repeating the current item. YouTube Help: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.
- Test any live entries separately. If an item is currently live, watch what happens when it ends or stops; do not assume the next item will start automatically.
YouTube’s interface can change, and its documented controls differ by device. On a TV or console, use Repeat until the control indicates that the playlist is repeating. The procedure above is for the computer interface shown in YouTube Help.

Playlist repeat is not Autoplay
Loop repeats the selected playlist. Autoplay is a separate setting that plays another related video after a video ends; it does not mean that YouTube will repeat the playlist you selected. YouTube Help: Autoplay videos explains the latter behavior.

A live stream is real-time media. After a broadcast ends, its channel may publish a replay or highlights, but YouTube does not say that every live stream becomes a replay. Nor do YouTube’s playlist-repeat instructions specify how an ongoing live entry behaves at the end of its broadcast. The documentation therefore does not establish that the player will move to the next playlist item or loop unattended in this situation. YouTube Help: Learn about live streams.

What the Jetson Nano hardware specifications do—and do not—tell you
NVIDIA lists the original Jetson Nano with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 CPU, 4 GB of memory, HDMI 2.0/eDP display connectivity, and HEVC decoding capability. Its specifications list HEVC decode of up to 1× 4K at 60 fps or 4× 1080p at 60 fps. These are hardware capability figures, not a guarantee of smooth YouTube playback in a particular browser, codec, software image, or network setup. NVIDIA does not certify a specific Nano browser-and-YouTube playback combination in those specifications. NVIDIA Jetson Nano specifications.
NVIDIA lists Nano as a previous Developer Kit and retains versioned software documentation. Use Nano-specific setup guidance for this older kit rather than assuming instructions for current Jetson products apply unchanged. See NVIDIA Jetson Software Getting Started and Documentation.

- The current item repeats, but the playlist does not: Find the playlist panel’s Loop control and confirm that playlist repeat is selected. YouTube treats playlist repeat and repeating a single video as different controls.
- A related video plays instead of the next playlist entry: Check whether Autoplay is enabled and whether you selected the playlist’s Loop control. Autoplay is for a related next video, not playlist repeat.
- A live entry stops or fails to move on: This behavior is not specified by the cited YouTube instructions. Test the same entry and playlist in your intended setup; do not count on a replay being available after the broadcast.
- Playback stutters or fails in the Nano browser: The listed hardware specifications do not verify a specific browser or YouTube playback path. Check the installed software image, browser, network, and playlist on the device you intend to use. A hardware decode specification alone cannot identify which part of a browser playback setup is limiting it.
- The documented steps do not match the screen: YouTube may change computer controls, and TV or console interfaces use different repeat controls. Follow the instructions for the interface you are actually using.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep a YouTube channel live from uploaded video rather than to watch a playlist on the Nano, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60 fps at one flat price, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. Start a free day with StreamNeo.
