Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo repeat a Wirecast video playlist, set the playlist’s end behavior to Loop. If an individual clip also needs to restart when it reaches its end, set that clip’s When Finished behavior to Loop in its Source Properties. These are separate controls: the playlist setting determines what happens after the final shot, while the clip setting determines what happens when that clip ends.
Set the playlist to loop
- Add and order your clips. Create or open the Wirecast playlist, add the video clips you want to play, and confirm their sequence.
- Change the playlist’s end behavior. Set the playlist behavior to Loop. When the last shot finishes, playback returns to the first shot and continues through the sequence again.
- Set individual clip behavior when needed. Open a clip’s Source Properties and set When Finished to Loop if that clip should restart at its own end. Do this for each clip that needs its own repeat behavior.
Playlist end behavior and clip playback behavior are distinct. The Wirecast 13 Windows guide notes that a playlist set to Hold can remain on its final shot; a clip’s own end behavior does not replace the playlist’s end setting. The detailed instructions here are based on the Wirecast 13 Windows user guide. Wirecast’s public version history lists version 16.5.4, released September 16, 2026, so control placement or labels may differ in your installed release. Look for the controls by their function and confirm them in your version’s guide.

Connect Wirecast to YouTube Live
- Enable live streaming on your channel. YouTube requires live streaming to be enabled; first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave it until the day you plan to broadcast.
- Create an encoder stream in YouTube Live Control Room. Set up the stream there and use its stream key in Wirecast. Keep the key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your stream.
- Configure Wirecast’s YouTube encoder connection. YouTube supports encoder-based streams and lists Wirecast as an encoder option. Follow the prompts in your Wirecast version to connect the encoder to the stream created in Live Control Room.
- Preview before going live. Check that the Live Control Room receives the intended video and audio, then start the stream when the preview is correct. YouTube recommends testing before a broadcast and monitoring video and audio while live.
For ingestion, YouTube recommends RTMPS, which encrypts the connection. YouTube documents H.264, HEVC, and AV1 support for RTMP/RTMPS encoder settings. Choose a resolution, frame rate, and bitrate your system and connection can sustain; there is no single setting that guarantees a particular quality for every source and network. See YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions and its instructions for creating a live stream with an encoder.

Test the loop and plan for continuous operation
Before treating a playlist as a 24/7 stream, run it through a complete cycle. Confirm it plays the first clip, advances through the sequence, returns from the final shot to the first, and produces the expected audio throughout. A test can reveal an incorrectly ordered playlist, an unexpected hold behavior, or a clip that stops at its own end.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Allow for upload headroom. YouTube recommends keeping upload bandwidth about 20% above the bitrate you send. This is YouTube’s current guidance, not a guarantee that a connection will remain stable.
- Monitor the broadcast. Check audio and video after going live and continue monitoring stream quality while it runs.
- Plan for failures. A 24/7 schedule is an operating goal, not an uptime guarantee. Wirecast, the computer running it, the internet connection, and YouTube can each interrupt a stream; the official guidance recommends testing and monitoring, not uninterrupted service.
- Check system requirements. The cited documentation does not establish minimum requirements for every current Wirecast release. Check Telestream’s requirements for the version you intend to run before relying on a particular computer.
Why the playlist may stop or fail to repeat
- Playback stops on the last shot: Check the playlist’s end behavior. If it is set to Hold, change it to Loop.
- A clip stops at its ending: Check that clip’s Source Properties and set When Finished to Loop if it should restart. The clip setting does not make the playlist itself repeat.
- YouTube does not receive the stream: Confirm live streaming is enabled, the encoder is connected to the stream in Live Control Room, and the correct stream key is configured. If live streaming was just enabled for the first time, YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours.
- The preview or stream has unstable audio or video: Test before starting, check the encoder settings and available upload capacity, and leave the upload headroom YouTube recommends. Monitor the stream rather than assuming the initial preview guarantees a stable long-running broadcast.
- The interface does not match these steps: The playlist behavior details cited here come from the Wirecast 13 Windows guide. Consult the guide for your installed release for current control placement and labels.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want a YouTube stream to keep playing without leaving a home computer on, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos and playlists from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay running at home; it streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. Start your free StreamNeo day.
