The first uses YouTube’s playback controls; the second requires an eligible channel and an encoder. Repeating a playlist as a viewer does not create a live broadcast.
Repeat a Tamil playlist while you watch
YouTube’s playlist repeat control works the same way for Tamil lessons as it does for other videos; there is no Tamil-specific setting.

- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- On a computer: expand the playlist panel and select Loop. This repeats the playlist. If you want only the current lesson to repeat, choose the single-video repeat control where available.
- On a phone: open the playlist control box beneath the video and use its Loop control.
- On a TV or game console: open playback controls and choose Repeat until the control indicates that the playlist is repeating.
YouTube may change interface wording or placement, so look for the control that repeats the playlist rather than relying only on its position. These playback controls repeat content for the person watching; they do not put the playlist on a live channel.

To make a live event that viewers can join, send a video feed to YouTube through an encoder. YouTube describes encoders as software or hardware that transmit a feed; its playlist Repeat button is not a Live broadcast tool.

1. Check channel eligibility
Confirm that the channel is verified, is permitted to livestream, and has no current livestream restrictions. YouTube says first-time livestream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until just before a planned lesson stream.
2. Create the live event
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live.
- In the Live Control Room, create a new event or schedule one.
- Choose an encoder workflow and copy the stream URL and stream key shown in the Live Control Room.
3. Connect an encoder and prepare the repeating source
Enter the stream URL and key in your chosen software or hardware encoder, then configure your source playlist or playback setup to repeat. YouTube’s general encoder guidance establishes the connection workflow but does not specify a repeat procedure for a particular encoder. Follow that product’s own instructions for looping the source; no particular application, menu sequence, or device is required by YouTube.

4. Preview, monitor, and end the stream
- Check the preview before going live. Confirm that the video and audio are present and that the watch page is accessible on a phone as well as your usual viewing device.
- Monitor the broadcast for audio, video, and connection problems while it runs.
- When finished, stop sending the encoder feed.
- YouTube’s encoder guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that a stream lasting 12 hours or more will be archived automatically.
Check rights before streaming lessons
Only include lessons, music, images, and other material for which you have the rights needed to broadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the rights necessary for worldwide exploitation of the live content. Its copyright guidance warns that streams may be interrupted or terminated when third-party material is detected and not addressed. The fact that a lesson or song can be watched on YouTube does not grant permission to retransmit it in your own live stream.
