To repeat a prerecorded binaural beats video overnight, turn on Loop for that video. To have playback stop after you fall asleep, use YouTube’s Sleep Timer instead. If you mean a live broadcast, it has no finished video endpoint to loop while it is live.
Choose what you want playback to do
| Your goal | Use | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat the same finished video | Loop | Restarts that video when it ends. |
| Stop after a set time | Sleep Timer | Pauses playback after the duration you select. |
| Continue with another video | Autoplay | Starts another video selected by YouTube; it does not repeat the current one. |
| Keep watching a live broadcast | Keep the live player running | End-of-video looping is not applicable until the broadcast ends and a replay is available. |
For overnight repetition, use Loop rather than Autoplay. The controls do not guarantee unattended playback for the entire night.

Loop a prerecorded binaural beats video
On a computer

- Right-click inside the video player.
- Select Loop.
In the YouTube mobile app
- Open the video and tap the player.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Additional settings, then Loop video.
These menu paths are reported by a third-party guide; labels and locations may vary by device or app version. [MakeUseOf’s guide to looping YouTube videos]
Use Sleep Timer when you want playback to stop
The Sleep Timer pauses a video after a duration you choose. It is for setting an end time, not for keeping the video playing until morning. You can adjust the timer after it starts, and YouTube says it gives a silent notification when playback pauses.
#1 Best Overall

What to expect during a long session
Looping a video does not ensure it will play unattended all night. A third-party guide reports that YouTube may show a “Video paused. Continue watching?” prompt during long sessions. This is not established as behavior on every device or in every session. If playback stops, check for a prompt, confirm the connection is stable, and make sure the app or browser is still functioning. [MakeUseOf’s guide]

Screen-off and background playback behavior can depend on device and account configuration. The YouTube Help instructions above do not establish a universal screen-lock setting or fix, so check the behavior on the device and account you plan to use rather than relying on one path for every setup.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIf you mean a live broadcast
A live broadcast does not reach the ordinary end-of-video point while it is still live, so the Loop control for a finite video is not the way to keep a live broadcast playing. If the broadcast ends and a replay becomes available, that replay is a finite video and may be looped using the applicable player control. [MakeUseOf’s guide]

If your goal is to operate a prerecorded YouTube broadcast rather than listen to a video as a viewer, StreamNeo is a separate option: it keeps an uploaded video or playlist live on a YouTube channel from the cloud. Upload the video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay running at home; uploaded video streams at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot; and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. It is for streaming uploaded videos to YouTube, not for watching a relaxation video or broadcasting from a camera.
