Short answer: With datarhei Restreamer, first make a source that plays your Hindi videos in order and repeats continuously, then publish that source to YouTube through Restreamer’s Publication Service using the event’s valid stream ID. The current Restreamer YouTube guide explains publication, but does not document a built-in playlist builder or loop switch. YouTube’s player Loop control repeats playback for a viewer; it does not make a live broadcast source repeat.
First, identify which “Restreamer” you mean
The names are easy to mix up, but the products do different jobs. This guide focuses on datarhei Restreamer, self-hosted software that publishes a source to YouTube. Restream cloud’s Upload & Stream is a separate hosted service with its own prerecorded-video and playlist features.

Set up a looping Hindi source for datarhei Restreamer
The key distinction is that Restreamer publishes a source; the repeating playlist must be created by the source/player or upstream media setup. The reviewed current guide does not specify which playlist software or source-side settings to use, so the exact controls depend on your installation.

- Prepare the videos and order. Choose the Hindi recordings you have the right to use, put them in the intended sequence, and configure a source or player to play them in that order and repeat continuously. Verify that the source continues from the last item back to the first before publishing.
- Create the YouTube live event and obtain its stream ID. Use YouTube’s live-streaming workflow for the event, then copy the valid streaming ID/key required for publication. Treat the key as a password: do not post it, include it in a public screenshot, or share it with anyone who should not control the broadcast.
- Configure publication in Restreamer. In datarhei Restreamer, open Publication Service, select or configure YouTube publication as applicable to your installed version, enter the valid streaming ID, and save. The official walkthrough is titled “How can I use YouTube with the Restreamer?”; its instructions are general rather than a guarantee that every version has identical controls.
- Start and verify the broadcast. Start the stream in Restreamer, then check the YouTube live event to confirm that it is receiving the source and that playback advances through the playlist and returns to the beginning. Keep the source running continuously for the duration you need.
- End the event cleanly. End the stream on YouTube before interrupting Restreamer. The Restreamer guide warns that if Restreamer is interrupted first, YouTube may not save the live stream in the DVR archive.
What to check before broadcasting Hindi content
A functioning loop does not establish that the broadcast complies with YouTube’s rules or that you have permission to use every recording. Review the rights and platform requirements for your specific videos before going live.

- Copyright and permission: Confirm that you own the recordings or have the necessary rights to use the audio and video in a live broadcast. A song, devotional performance, film clip, or background track can have separate rights holders.
- Live-stream access: Confirm that the channel can use YouTube live streaming and that the event and stream ID are the ones you intend to use.
- Reused-content considerations: Repeating material does not itself demonstrate that a channel meets YouTube’s monetization policies. Review YouTube’s current policies for your channel and content rather than assuming that a technically valid broadcast qualifies.
- Source continuity: Test the entire sequence, including the transition from the final video back to the first. Check that files are accessible to the source and that playback does not stop when the playlist ends.

If you meant Restream cloud instead
Restream cloud’s Upload & Stream feature is separate from datarhei Restreamer. Its help article, updated March 11, 2026, says a single prerecorded video can be looped up to 10 times, with a maximum 40-hour stream, and labels looping a paid feature. It also states that playlists themselves do not currently support looping. The documented workaround is to duplicate videos within the playlist.

Restream’s playlist article, updated July 25, 2026, states a maximum of 40 videos and up to 24 hours of total playlist duration. It lists the Upload & Stream add-on tiers as Marathon and Media and notes that requirements and storage vary by tier. These plan details can change; check the current playlist help page and video-looping help page before relying on a limit or tier name.

Loop a playlist only for your own YouTube playback
If you want to replay Hindi videos while watching, rather than broadcast them as a live event, use YouTube’s playlist controls. YouTube Help explains how to open a playlist and turn on Loop, including controls for TVs and game consoles: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube. This changes viewer playback only; it does not cause a live source sent through Restreamer to restart.

Common problems and fixes
- The playlist stops after one pass: Restreamer’s YouTube publication step does not establish playlist repetition. Check the source/player or upstream media setup and confirm it is configured to repeat continuously.
- YouTube does not receive the broadcast: Check that the event is live-ready, the stream ID is valid and copied correctly, and the YouTube publication settings are saved in Restreamer. Do not expose the key while troubleshooting.
- The stream ends at a video boundary: Test the source independently through the transition from the last item to the first. The source must keep playing; publication alone cannot repair a playlist that stops.
- The YouTube archive is missing: When finishing, end the event on YouTube first, then stop or interrupt Restreamer. The Restreamer guide warns that interruption in the opposite order may prevent YouTube from saving the stream in DVR.
- The instructions do not match your screen: Controls can vary by Restreamer version and installation. The official YouTube guide says it was last updated three years ago; a separate guide for Restreamer 0.6.x is explicitly deprecated, so do not treat its older RTMP steps as the current interface.
