To join P@SHA, an eligible software, IT services, or IT-enabled services company applies through the association’s membership process. P@SHA’s published route is company membership, not a general individual-professional membership. If you are an individual, student, or startup team not applying as a company, you can still explore other routes into the community, including the Startup Hub, ICT Awards, and public program announcements.
Who can become a P@SHA member?
P@SHA says an applicant must be a business concern engaged in software development, IT services, or IT-enabled services, or a company whose primary business is IT/ITeS. The membership page defines “primary” as more than 60% of the company’s revenue coming from IT. The company must also have a registered place of business in Pakistan. See P@SHA’s membership requirements for the current criteria.

The association lists two categories, based on annual turnover. P@SHA says the categories do not differ in benefits; they provide representation for companies of different sizes. One membership represents one company. A parent company may register sister or child companies separately.

How to become a member
P@SHA’s published application sequence is straightforward, but applicants should check the live page for current instructions before paying.
- Complete the membership form on P@SHA’s membership page.
- Pay the applicable registration and annual membership fees.
- Submit proof of filing taxes.
Fees and processing time
The membership page lists a one-time registration fee of PKR 5,000 for either category. It lists annual dues of PKR 20,000 for associate members and PKR 50,000 for corporate members. These are the amounts displayed when the information was checked; confirm the current fee schedule directly with P@SHA before making a payment.
For complete applications, P@SHA lists regular processing as 10–14 working days. It also lists urgent processing in two working days for an additional PKR 5,000. Check with the Secretariat if your application has special circumstances or if the displayed timeline is important to a deadline.

Plan around the renewal date
P@SHA says membership lasts one year and expires on March 31, regardless of the date it was granted. As a result, a membership begun later in the cycle may have less than 12 months before its stated expiry. Confirm the applicable renewal timing when applying.

Which route fits your goal?
Company membership is not the only way to engage with Pakistan’s IT community. Choose a route according to whether you need formal company representation, visibility for a startup, recognition for a product or service, or professional connections.
| Your situation or goal | Possible route | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Qualifying IT/ITeS company seeking association membership | Apply for associate or corporate membership | Requires a registered place of business in Pakistan and the stated business activity or revenue profile; fees and timing are listed above. |
| Startup seeking discovery by customers, investors, partners, or talent | Submit a profile to the Startup Hub | The platform describes a directory and says submissions are reviewed in fortnightly batches, typically taking about two weeks. |
| Student, product team, or services provider seeking recognition | Consider the P@SHA ICT Awards | The official FAQ says the awards are open to all and distinguishes technology-product submissions from a services category; student participation is also listed. |
| Individual professional seeking peer connections or events | Check public events and ask P@SHA about access | The member app listing describes member-oriented community functions. Do not assume member-only tools are available to nonmembers. |
How can a startup join Pakistan’s startup community?
A startup can submit its profile to the P@SHA Startup Hub, which presents itself as a discovery channel for customers, investors, partners, talent, and ecosystem programs. The platform says its committee reviews submissions in fortnightly batches and that review typically takes about two weeks. Check the live platform for its current profile requirements, submission status, and any changes to the review schedule.

Enter the P@SHA ICT Awards
P@SHA’s official ICT Awards FAQ says the awards are open to all, so membership is not a prerequisite. It describes separate technology-product and services categories and lists student participation among the categories. Eligibility details, category definitions, deadlines, and any current entry conditions can change; consult the FAQ and current application page before preparing a submission.
Find events and member-community activities
P@SHA’s member community app listing describes events, discussions, peer connections, group chats, a directory, and membership-management functions. The listing identifies the app as free but presents it as a member community; it does not establish that nonmembers can use member-only features.
Ask about committees and working groups
P@SHA describes member participation in committees, peer collaboration, policy discussions, and initiatives covering areas such as talent, startups, e-commerce, gaming, AI, cloud, and cybersecurity. For a current opening or route to participate, contact the Secretariat and ask which committees are active, how members can join their work, and which events or working groups are open. Current openings and selection arrangements are not specified in the public participation information cited here.

Follow youth and entrepreneurship announcements
A Press Information Department release documents a memorandum of understanding between the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and P@SHA. This indicates a government-linked engagement channel relevant to youth and entrepreneurs, but the release does not provide a current individual application process. Look for current announcements from the program rather than treating the MoU itself as an open enrollment offer.
Quick Recap
What to confirm before applying or taking part

- For the Startup Hub and ICT Awards, check their live pages for submission requirements, eligibility, categories, and deadlines.
- For events, the member app, committees, and other activities, ask P@SHA whether the opportunity is open to nonmembers and what participation conditions apply.
