Enter your name if prompted. Allow browser access to your microphone or camera if you want to use them; you can turn those devices off after joining.

Select Join now. If Teams places you in a lobby, wait for the organizer to admit you.

Microsoft’s instructions for joining without an account describe this browser flow. You can also open the pre-join screen to check your setup up to 15 minutes before the meeting starts, according to Microsoft’s current guidance.
Which browsers work?
Browser support depends on the type of Teams meeting experience, so there is no single browser list that applies to every flow.

These lists come from Microsoft’s separate guidance for work-or-school guest meetings and Teams Free meetings. If the browser you use is not listed for your meeting type, try a listed browser.
Join with a meeting ID and passcode
If the invitation has no usable link but includes a meeting ID and passcode, open Microsoft’s join a meeting page in a desktop browser, enter the details, and choose Continue on this browser when offered. Follow the on-screen prompts to reach the pre-join screen and select Join now.

When Teams asks you to sign in or verify
A Microsoft account is not always required, but anonymous entry is not guaranteed. The organizer or an administrator may require an authorized account or email verification, such as a one-time passcode. Follow the verification prompt; if you cannot complete it or do not have the required account, contact the meeting organizer.

If you are stuck in the lobby
A lobby is a waiting area, not necessarily an error: the organizer may need to admit you. Microsoft says a guest who is not admitted within 30 minutes is removed from the lobby and can try joining again. If you have been waiting, contact the organizer to ask to be admitted, then rejoin if Teams removes you.
On a phone or tablet, use a different route
Microsoft says Teams meetings are not currently supported in mobile web browsers. For a phone or tablet, Microsoft’s documented route is the Teams mobile app; the browser procedure above is for desktop. See Microsoft’s meeting-joining troubleshooting guidance.
