To install FireShot in India, open its official Chrome Web Store listing in desktop Chrome, select Add to Chrome, review the requested permissions, then choose Add extension if you trust them. The standard Chrome installation flow applies; FireShot’s official material does not describe a separate India-specific process.
Install FireShot in desktop Chrome

Open Chrome on the computer where you want to use the extension and visit the FireShot listing in the Chrome Web Store. Check that the listing is Take Webpage Screenshots Entirely – FireShot and that it is published by the FireShot developer.

Select Add to Chrome. Chrome may display a permissions prompt. Read what access is requested and select Add extension only if you are comfortable granting it. Google explains its general installation flow in its Chrome extension guidance.

After installation, open Chrome’s Extensions menu beside the address bar to find FireShot. To keep it readily available, use the pin option in that menu; FireShot’s getting-started page also recommends pinning it.

Start a capture by selecting the FireShot toolbar button, right-clicking a page and choosing the FireShot option, or using Ctrl+Shift+S. FireShot documents that shortcut on its setup page; Mac-specific shortcut behavior is not established there, so use the menu or toolbar if the shortcut does not work.
Install from a phone or a managed computer
Using Chrome on a phone
Google’s documented mobile flow is to open Chrome, find the extension and choose Add to Desktop. The extension is added when Chrome is next opened on the computer associated with that browser account; this is not a way to run the desktop extension inside Chrome on the phone.
Incognito, guest and work or school profiles

Chrome does not allow adding extensions while you are using an Incognito session or a guest profile. Switch to a regular Chrome profile and open the Web Store listing again.

A work or school administrator may block extension installation. If Chrome says the extension is blocked or managed, contact the organization’s administrator rather than trying to bypass its policy.

Review permissions and privacy statements
Chrome’s permission warning describes the access an extension could have, which can include access to website data. Google advises users to approve extensions only when they trust them; the warning alone is not a verdict that an extension is either unsafe or safe. See Google’s explanation of permissions requested by apps and extensions.
The FireShot Chrome Web Store listing declares that its developer will not collect or use user data. FireShot’s own setup page says captures are processed locally in the browser and are not uploaded to external servers. These are statements from the listing and publisher, not an independent security guarantee.
Is FireShot free?
FireShot describes its basic extension as free. Pro is optional and is not required to install or use the basic extension. The publisher’s purchase page, checked on 3 October 2026, listed Pro at $39.95 per year or $99.95 for a one-time lifetime license; confirm the current offer on the FireShot Pro purchase page because prices can change.

The publisher lists advanced PDF export, annotations, capture history, batch captures and automated captures among Pro features. Consider upgrading only if you need those features; the basic installation steps do not require a paid license.

There is no Add to Chrome button: Confirm you are viewing the official FireShot listing in desktop Chrome and are not in Incognito or guest mode. If the browser is managed, an administrator may restrict installation.

Chrome blocks the install: On a work or school device, ask the administrator whether FireShot is permitted. Do not attempt to evade organization controls.

FireShot is installed but not visible: Open the Extensions menu beside the address bar, locate FireShot, and pin it to the toolbar if you want direct access.

The keyboard shortcut does not work: FireShot documents Ctrl+Shift+S on its getting-started page, but Mac behavior is not verified there. Use the toolbar button or right-click menu instead.
