To install Antistasi on an Arma 3 dedicated server, install the official Antistasi mod through your host’s Steam Workshop integration or upload the official release archive manually, add the mod to the server startup configuration, and select the Antistasi Community [version] mission. After the server starts, an administrator must log in with #login to create or load the campaign. Every player must load the same Antistasi mod release as the server, and only one Antistasi mod should be active at a time.

Antistasi runs as an Arma 3 multiplayer mission backed by an Antistasi mod. A dedicated server therefore needs both the normal Arma 3 server installation and the Antistasi files. Prepare these items first:
- An operational Arma 3 dedicated server installation, including its profile location and mission directory.
- Access to the server’s startup command or control panel. You need to be able to add a mod to the server’s startup mod list and choose a mission.
- File access for the manual route, normally through the host’s file manager, SFTP, or FTP.
- The administrator password configured in
server.cfg. - A plan for the server’s game and query ports, firewall rules, and router forwarding if the server is self-hosted.
- The same Antistasi release and dependency set for every player who will connect.
Bohemia Interactive’s Arma 3 dedicated-server documentation remains the authority for SteamCMD installation, server files, profiles, mission directories, startup parameters, ports, and firewall or router rules. Antistasi cannot compensate for an incomplete or unreachable Arma 3 server installation.

Choose how to obtain Antistasi
There are two legitimate installation routes. Use the one your host supports rather than trying to combine them.

Do not activate a Workshop copy and a manually uploaded copy of Antistasi at the same time. The official guidance is explicit: “Only one Antistasi mod should be loaded at a time.” Keeping one distribution avoids duplicate or conflicting mod entries and makes version matching possible.
Step 1: Confirm the dedicated server layout
Before adding Antistasi, identify the locations your host expects for server files, profiles, mods, and missions. A hosted control panel may hide these paths; a self-managed installation may expose them directly.
Hosted server
Open the provider’s Arma 3 settings and locate the fields for Workshop collections or mods, mission selection, mission cycle, profiles, and startup parameters. Record the exact labels. If the panel offers an “Install from Workshop” action, use that rather than uploading a second copy.
Windows or Linux self-managed server
Use the directory structure created by your Arma 3 dedicated-server installation and the profile path specified in its startup parameters. Do not invent a new mission or profile location simply because it is convenient; the server must read the files from the paths it is actually configured to use.
Also verify that the server process can read the mod and mission files. On Linux, an archive can appear to be present while permissions prevent the service account from reading it. Correct ownership and read permissions before troubleshooting Antistasi itself.

Step 2: Install through Steam Workshop
This is the shortest route when your provider exposes Steam Workshop support.
- Open the server control panel’s Workshop or mod-installation page.
- Search for the official Antistasi mod and subscribe or install it using the panel’s action.
- Wait for the download to finish and confirm that the panel reports the mod as installed on the server, not merely subscribed to by your personal Steam account.
- Add the installed Antistasi entry to the server’s startup mod list. Some panels use a selectable mod list; others provide a command-line field.
- Save the configuration and restart the server so the startup change is applied.
Workshop integration is provider-managed. The panel may download updates automatically, require a manual update button, or expose a cached version. Check its update behavior before changing releases, especially if players are already using the server.
Step 3: Install the official release manually
Use the manual route when Workshop downloads are unavailable or when you need direct control over the files. Download the latest official Antistasi release archive from the A3-Antistasi GitHub project, then upload its contents to the server location designated for mods.
- Download the release archive to your administration computer.
- Unpack the archive locally. Preserve the directory structure supplied by the release; do not upload only selected inner files.
- Open the server’s mod directory or the provider’s documented upload location.
- Upload the unpacked Antistasi files with the host’s file manager, SFTP, or FTP. Large archives can take time, and an interrupted transfer can leave an apparently complete but unusable installation.
- Check that the uploaded structure matches the archive and that the server account can read every required file.
- Add the Antistasi mod directory to the server startup mod list using the provider’s documented syntax.
- Save the startup configuration and restart the server.
Do not rename directories, flatten nested folders, or move files into the mission directory unless the release instructions specifically require it. The mod and the mission are loaded through different parts of the Arma 3 server configuration.

The server must load Antistasi before its mission list can offer the Antistasi Community scenario. Add the mod through the provider’s mod field or command-line setting, then restart.
There is no universal command string that is safe to copy between hosts. Windows and Linux installations can use different separators and path conventions, and control panels may translate a mod selection into the final command automatically. Use the exact syntax in your provider’s Arma 3 documentation and point it at the directory containing the installed Antistasi mod.

After restarting, inspect the server log or panel status for a successful mod load. A server that starts without errors but does not list the mission usually has one of two problems: the mod path is wrong, or the startup configuration did not actually include the mod.
Step 5: Select the Antistasi mission
Once the mod is loaded, open the server’s mission-selection screen and choose the mission named Antistasi Community [Version number]. The version text changes with the release, so select the entry that matches the installed mod rather than relying on an old saved selection.

For the first launch, start the mission manually. This confirms that the server can load the mod, publish the mission, and display the Antistasi setup interface before you add automatic restart behavior.
Configure a mission cycle
If the server should return to Antistasi after a restart, add the selected mission to the provider’s mission cycle or equivalent persistent-mission setting. A mission cycle controls what the server starts next; it does not replace the requirement to load the Antistasi mod at startup.
Step 6: Match the clients to the server
The official Antistasi guidance states: “All clients must load the same Antistasi mod as the host.” In practical terms, every player should use the same Antistasi release and the same required dependency set that the server loads.
What players should verify
- The mod is enabled in the Arma 3 launcher before connecting.
- The release or version corresponds to the server’s installed copy.
- Any dependencies required by that release are present and enabled.
- Only one Antistasi mod is active; duplicate versions or alternate Antistasi packages are disabled.
A player can have other unrelated Arma 3 mods enabled if the server permits them, but those are separate from Antistasi version matching. When diagnosing a join failure, begin with the exact Antistasi release and dependency list rather than changing unrelated settings.

Step 7: Create or load the campaign
Starting the mission is not the same as creating the campaign. On a dedicated server, Antistasi’s setup interface is restricted to an administrator.
- Join the running Antistasi mission as an administrator.
- Open the Arma 3 chat or command entry and type
/, followed by#login adminpassword. Replaceadminpasswordwith the password configured inserver.cfg. - After authentication, open Antistasi’s setup UI.
- Choose the option to load an existing save or create a new game.
- Apply the campaign settings in the UI and allow the mission to initialize before disconnecting.
The official wording is: “On a dedicated server, you need to log in as admin (/ then #login adminpassword) to see the setup UI.” A regular player cannot create the initial dedicated-server campaign without that administrator login.
Make the campaign survive restarts
Antistasi includes an option to automatically load the previous game for unattended restarts. Enable that option when the server should resume its campaign without an administrator present after a crash, scheduled reboot, or provider restart.

Arma 3’s dedicated-server configuration also supports persistent missions and automatic initialization when the relevant startup settings are used. Configure those settings through the server’s normal profile and startup configuration, then keep Antistasi’s automatic-load option enabled if you want the saved campaign restored rather than a fresh setup screen.
Test persistence before inviting players
- Create a test campaign and make a small, recognizable change.
- Stop and restart the server using the same startup configuration.
- Confirm that the mission cycle starts Antistasi.
- Log in and verify that the previous game loads rather than prompting for a new campaign.
- If it does not load, check the profile and save locations used by the server process and verify that the service account can write there.
Do not assume that a mission cycle alone saves campaign progress. Mission selection determines what starts; save loading and persistent-server settings determine whether the existing campaign is restored.

Windows hosts
Windows providers commonly expose Workshop and startup settings through a graphical panel. If you edit a command line directly, use the path and quoting format documented by that provider. Confirm that the account running the dedicated server can read the mod directory and write the profile or save location.

Linux hosts
Linux hosts are often the reason administrators choose the manual archive route. Transfer the unpacked release with SFTP or FTP, preserve case-sensitive names, and check ownership and permissions for the account that runs the server. A file path that differs only by capitalization can work on a case-insensitive development machine and fail on Linux.
For either platform, follow the host’s documented startup syntax. The installation method changes where the files come from, not the requirement that the server’s startup configuration load them before the mission is selected.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The Antistasi mission is not in the mission list
- Confirm that the mod files are in the server’s expected mod directory.
- Check the startup configuration or control-panel mod list for the Antistasi entry.
- Restart after changing the mod list; a mission-selection page can reflect the previous server process.
- Review the server log for a path, permission, or loading error.
- Verify that you selected the current
Antistasi Community [Version number]entry rather than an obsolete mission name.
Clients cannot join
- Compare the exact Antistasi release on the server and each client.
- Compare required dependencies and their enabled status.
- Disable duplicate or alternate Antistasi mods so only one is active.
- Have the player restart the Arma 3 launcher after correcting the mod set, then try again.
The server is invisible or unreachable
Check the configured game and query ports, host firewall rules, and router forwarding. Use Bohemia Interactive’s dedicated-server documentation for the expected port parameters and network configuration. A correctly installed mod cannot make a server reachable when the underlying Arma 3 network settings are blocked.
The setup UI does not appear
Authenticate as an administrator with / followed by #login adminpassword, using the password from server.cfg. Without administrator authentication, the dedicated-server setup UI is not available.
The campaign starts fresh after every restart
Check that Antistasi’s automatic previous-game loading option is enabled, that the server is using persistent-mission settings where required, and that its profile or save directory is writable. Also verify that the mission cycle starts the intended Antistasi mission instead of a different entry.
Updating Antistasi safely
Workshop installations may be updated by the provider or through a panel action; manual installations require downloading a newer official release, stopping the server, replacing the uploaded files, and restarting with the same startup entry. The update behavior is host-specific, so record the currently installed version before changing it.
Update the server and clients as a coordinated change. Because clients must use the same Antistasi mod as the host, players on an older release can lose the ability to join until their launcher content is updated. Test the mission and campaign save after an update before reopening the server to the full player group.
