For animated wallpapers and lock-screen effects on a Galaxy Z Fold, use Samsung’s Good Lock app and its Wonderland module from Galaxy Store. Check that both are offered for your exact Fold, software version and region before installing. Wonderland’s lock-screen effects are not boot animations; Samsung documents boot and shutdown branding as a separate, administrator-managed Knox Configure feature.
Choose the animation that matches what you want to change

LockStar is another Good Lock module, but its purpose is customizing lock-screen and Always On Display layouts, widgets and stickers—not creating Wonderland wallpaper effects.

Install Good Lock and Wonderland from Galaxy Store
- On the Fold, open Galaxy Store and search for Good Lock. Install and open the app, then accept its setup prompt.
- In Good Lock, find Wonderland and install or update it. Samsung says modules may be installed through Good Lock or as separate apps, and availability varies. Check the listing on your device rather than relying on an APK from another source. Samsung’s Good Lock support instructions describe this installation path.
If Good Lock or Wonderland does not appear in Galaxy Store, the feature may not be offered for your particular model, software version or region. Samsung’s India support page states that availability of Good Lock applications may vary by device and software version; its broader guidance also advises checking module availability for the device and region. Do not assume every Fold generation has identical menus or controls.

Create a moving wallpaper with Wonderland
- Open Wonderland and choose Create your own moving wallpaper. The wording may vary with the app version or language.
- Choose a preset, or use the add control to start a design. Select a Gallery photo, color or other wallpaper as the background.
- Add image elements, then adjust movement and transparency. Depending on the version, optional effects may also be available.
- Save using the arrow at the top right. Samsung’s support walkthrough describes the moving-wallpaper workflow and labels in its Good Lock instructions.
Samsung’s April 15, 2025 Wonderland overview describes image, text, video and particle elements, movement in left-right, up-down and front-back directions, and separate home- and lock-screen wallpaper customization. It also describes transition effects between Always On Display and lock screen with speed and depth controls. Those descriptions are not a guarantee that every option appears on every Fold or software build.

Create a lock-screen effect
- In Wonderland, choose Create your different lockscreen effect.
- Select a preset or create an effect, then choose an image.
- Choose an effect and adjust the offered settings. Depending on the software version, controls may include speed, element size or angle.
- Save the effect. Samsung’s support walkthrough describes this workflow; exact controls and labels may vary.
Keep the setup safe and know when to stop
- Use Galaxy Store and Good Lock for the documented consumer customization route. Samsung’s instructions do not require rooting the phone or sideloading animation APKs.
- Check the on-device app listings before troubleshooting missing features: availability is conditional on model, software version and region.
- Do not mistake a lock-screen effect for a boot animation. Samsung’s Knox Configure documentation covers custom boot, loop and shutdown animations as settings assigned by an administrator. It identifies separate cover-screen boot and shutdown animations for Galaxy Z Fold5 and later (and Flip5 and later) running One UI 6.1.1 or later; this is not the Wonderland consumer process.
- Restart only if Wonderland or another module prompts you to do so. Samsung’s consumer instructions do not prescribe a reboot as a routine step for applying an animation.
