To insert a YouTube video in Google Slides, open the presentation on a computer, choose Insert > Video, add the video, then set its playback to Play (automatically) in Format options > Video playback. That setting starts the video without a click; it does not make the presentation advance to the next slide.

Find or select the video, then click Select. The video is added to the slide.

Google’s video instructions describe this option as playing the video without clicks. The documented default is Play (on click); the playback options and what triggers them are:

Video autoplay is not slide auto-advance
Autoplay controls the video; slide auto-advance controls when the presentation moves to another slide. They are separate settings. Google’s guidance does not promise that a slide will wait until its video finishes before advancing, so check the timing separately if you need a timed sequence.
For a live presentation
In a live presentation, advance slides with a key press, mouse click, or remote clicker. The video’s playback choice determines whether it starts automatically, on slide advance, or when clicked directly.

For a published presentation
To set an interval for a published deck, use File > Publish to the web, choose the auto-advance interval, and publish. This is a published-presentation option, not the same as ordinary full-screen presenting. Google notes that if you change the presentation or its timing, you need a new published link. Check access before sharing or presenting
People who can open the slide deck may still need permission to play a video stored in Drive. Google says Access checker suggests permissions for new users when a presentation contains video or audio; review and confirm suggested access updates when sharing.

Before an event, verify that the intended audience can access both the presentation and its embedded video. For a published presentation, Google warns that anyone with the link may be able to view it; work or school accounts may restrict link access to people in the organization. Check the sharing settings against your audience, especially before distributing a public link. Google also advises updating older presentations to use current in-format audio and video playback options.
