Before using either, check whether the change would complete a pair, triple, or quadruple and support your current board and unit effects. These tools let you influence decisions; they do not guarantee a particular outcome.
Choose between rerolling and nudging
Dicevaders’ official Steam description identifies Chrono as the resource for rerolling dice. It can also restock the shop, so using it on a die means giving up another possible use. Consider a reroll when a fresh outcome could improve a useful combination or fit your current plan.

The game’s launch announcement describes Budges as a way to nudge dice “exactly where you need them,” and the Steam listing describes them as a way to manipulate a dice throw. In practice, treat Budge as the more targeted option when a particular value would help. The official descriptions do not specify its cost or how far a die can move.

#1 Best Overall
- 50-Dice Set: This pack of dice contains a total of 50 dice. Each die is standard 6-sided, with each face bearing a number between 1 and 6. The dimensions of each die are 16 mm, which are commonly used standard dice sizes.
- Making Math Fun: These 16 mm dice, ideal for board games and party days, are also an ideal option for learning math in classrooms. They can make learning things like putting numbers in order, adding, and taking away super fun! With these dice, math class can feel like playing games.
- Dice for Multiple Games: You can use these 6 sided dice set to play a variety of games, including Craps, Backgammon, Boggle, Dungeons and Dragons, Tenzi, Liar's Dice, Farkle, Bunco, and many others.
- Durable Dice for Endless Fun: These white dice are designed to be durable for long-lasting game nights, so you can enjoy without worrying about them getting worn out!
- Beyond Gaming: You can use these standard game dice not only for playing games but also for educational activities, decorations, placeholders, or craft projects.
Look for combinations, not just high numbers
The official listing says pairs, triples, and quadruples can ignite combos. A high face is not automatically the best result: a lower value may complete a pattern that scores better or works with your current units. Check the dice row and the combinations available before rerolling or nudging.
Connect the roll to your board and shop plan
Dice control is only one part of a turn. The official description says turns involve acquiring units, artifacts, Budges, and Chrono, and that strategic placement enhances scoring potential. Consider how a changed die would interact with your units and board layout, rather than judging it in isolation.

When deciding how to spend a resource, weigh three things:
- Whether a reroll or nudge could complete a useful combination.
- Whether the result would support your current board and unit effects.
- Whether Chrono would be more valuable spent restocking the shop.
The official materials do not publish roll probabilities or success rates for these tools, so there is no documented percentage improvement to rely on.

Use current in-game text for build-specific advice
Dicevaders Team’s 2026 launch announcement lists 10 Commanders, more than 60 Units, and 120 Artifacts. Those figures describe the breadth of the game’s content, not how much any item improves a roll. The cited official descriptions do not establish which Commander, unit, or artifact offers the strongest dice control. For a specific build, use the current Strategy Guide and the exact descriptions shown in-game.

The game’s Steam copy describes Chrono as a way to “strategically reroll your dice and restock the shop,” while the launch announcement presents Chrono and Budges as ways to respond to a bad roll. Neither description promises a chosen result. See the Dicevaders Steam listing and the Dicevaders Team launch announcement for those mechanic descriptions.
