iPhone and iPad

Keep your first plot compact. A smaller area reduces the amount of watering and harvesting you must perform before experimenting with the shop and mine. Expand after you understand the daily time pressure and the value of the items you can reliably produce.
3. Learn the shop loop
Open the shop, place an item on a shelf, and choose a price. Villagers decide whether that price is fair, so the first sale is also a lesson in Duskroot’s demand system. Start with an item you can replace, observe whether customers accept the price, and adjust your expectations from what actually sells rather than assuming the highest possible price is best.

It feeds the same overall star progression as farming and exploration, and haggling is one of the activities that can contribute to that pool. Treat early transactions as information gathering: learn which goods move quickly and how much time you want to spend tending displays.
4. Make a cautious first mine trip
Take the pick and sword into the mine at dusk after you have learned the basic controls. Keep the first outing short and use it to practice breaking rocks, fighting and returning to the surface. Carry only items you are willing to risk while you learn the route.
There are two specific dangers. Falling can cost you items, and staying past midnight can leave half of the items you are carrying behind. If you have valuable ore or other hard-won materials, turn back with time remaining instead of testing how late you can stay. A mine run that ends early is a successful tutorial; a greedy run can erase part of the day’s haul.

5. Spend the first stars deliberately
Farming, fighting, mining, fishing and haggling all feed one star pool and a branching skill tree. Read the branch descriptions before confirming a choice. If you expect to spend most days growing and selling crops, favor improvements that support that loop; if exploration is the reason you installed the game, choose the branch that strengthens mining or combat. You can mix activities, but your first points should reflect what you can perform consistently rather than a hypothetical late-game build.

This schedule is a learning framework, not a requirement to perform every activity every day. You can devote a day to farming or exploration when that is more useful. The important early habit is to reserve enough time to return safely from the mine when you choose to enter it.

Moving your farm to another phone
From one Apple device to another

Falling or remaining past midnight can leave half of the carried items behind. Reduce the length of the next run, return before the deadline when carrying valuable materials, and use the first trips to learn the route rather than maximize haul size.
I do not know which skill to choose
There is no opening class selection to correct later. Read each branch, then choose based on the activity you actually repeat: crops and sales, fishing, mining, combat or haggling.
