ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet is a single-player restaurant-management simulation set in the ONE PIECE universe. Bandai Namco describes a game built around collecting ingredients, creating dishes, decorating a restaurant and interacting with more than 400 characters from the series.

The restaurant is the second Baratie location. Sanji is your main working partner as you turn ingredients and recipes into finished food. The basic progression is a connected loop rather than a set of unrelated mini-games:

The publisher says the customization catalog contains more than 200 furniture, building and decorative items. More than 400 ONE PIECE characters can appear as staff and customers, and character events and interactions are part of the restaurant experience.
Those figures describe the size of the available cast and customization catalog; they do not mean that every character or item is available immediately. Treat the opening as an introduction to the loop and add to the restaurant as the game makes new content available.
Choose a platform before you buy
The supported platforms listed by Bandai Namco are Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, the App Store and Google Play. The cited Nintendo and Steam listings are digital storefront pages. Your best first choice is normally the device you already use, but release timing, regional pricing, language information and storage can change the practical decision.

What the dates mean
Do not treat October 22 and October 23 as one universal launch date. Steam’s listing gives October 22, 2026, while Nintendo and the publisher give October 23, 2026. Storefront release times can also be displayed according to a region’s local time. If the date matters for your schedule, use the countdown or release information shown by the store where you intend to purchase.
What to verify on the live listing
- The price in your currency, including whether a displayed price is a pre-purchase offer.
- The exact edition and supported device; a listing for one Nintendo system should not be assumed to describe every Nintendo version.
- The language list, because the publisher’s platform list does not by itself guarantee that every language is available in every region.
- The download size and any current device or operating-system requirements.
- Whether the store labels the release as available, pre-purchase or scheduled.
Set up your first session
Once you have selected a platform, install the digital edition from its official storefront and launch it after the release status shown for your region changes to available. On Nintendo Switch, the cited listing describes one-player, single-system play and an estimated 347 MB download. On mobile and PC, use the store’s current compatibility and storage information rather than assuming the Nintendo estimate applies.

- Finish the platform’s purchase or installation flow. Confirm that the account, region and device match the edition you meant to obtain.
- Launch the game and enter the second Baratie restaurant. The opening setting establishes that you are helping develop this new restaurant location.
- Work with Sanji on the first available food tasks. Follow the on-screen recipe and ingredient prompts instead of trying to decorate the restaurant immediately.
- Collect the ingredients requested by the current recipe. Keep the recipe and ingredient requirements visible while gathering so you do not confuse a needed component with a decorative element.
- Combine the ingredients and recipe. This is the central cooking action described in the publisher’s gameplay guide.
- Plate and decorate the finished dish. Use the available plating and decorative elements to turn the cooked food into a dish suitable for a set menu.
- Arrange the finished dishes into a meal set. Sets are the form in which dishes are prepared for customers, so do not stop after producing a single plate.
- Return to restaurant development. Add available furniture, buildings and decorative pieces as the game permits, then continue with the next ingredient-and-menu task.
This order keeps you inside the game’s intended loop: food production first, presentation second, customer-facing sets third, and visual expansion alongside continued restaurant work.
How the cooking and menu loop works
Gathering ingredients
Ingredients are the inputs for every dish. At the beginning, read the current recipe before collecting anything so that your time is spent on the active requirement. The available materials, recipes and progression unlocks can change as you advance; the published material does not provide a complete ingredient catalog, so use the in-game recipe display as the authority for each task.
When several recipes are available, prioritize the one tied to the current objective or customer-facing menu. That keeps your ingredient use connected to progress instead of producing dishes that are not yet part of a set.
Combining a recipe with ingredients
Sanji is the character associated with the opening preparation process. Select the required recipe, provide the matching ingredients and complete the cooking action. If a dish does not become available, recheck that every listed ingredient has been collected and that you selected the intended recipe rather than a decoration or a completed plate.
Plating and decorating
Cooking is not the final step. The gameplay guide specifically describes plating and decorating dishes before they are arranged into set menus. Treat presentation as part of the dish’s preparation: complete the plate, apply the available decorative elements, and verify that the result is recognized as a finished dish in the menu interface.

Building set menus
Meal sets combine completed dishes for customers. Assemble sets only from dishes that have passed through the plating and decoration stage. If a dish is missing from the set screen, return to its preparation step and confirm that it was saved or registered as a finished plate rather than left as an uncompleted cooking result.
Develop the second Baratie restaurant
Restaurant development is more than choosing a pleasing layout. The publisher presents furniture, buildings and decorative items as a major customization system, with more than 200 items in total. Add pieces as they become available and use the restaurant view to keep track of what has already been placed.
Furniture
Furniture changes the appearance and identity of the restaurant. Place it after your current food task is complete so decoration does not interrupt ingredient collection or menu assembly. Since the full catalog is not published as a fixed early-game list, rely on the inventory and placement screens to see which pieces you own.
Buildings
Buildings are part of the same broader customization count but represent a larger change to the restaurant space. When a building becomes available, check where the game allows it to be placed and whether the placement view identifies a required prerequisite. Do not assume that an item shown in promotional material is available from the first visit.
Decorative items
Decorations let you refine the look of the restaurant around its furniture and buildings. Add them after the main layout is usable, then revisit the space as your catalog grows. The goal of the opening session is not to acquire all 200-plus items; it is to learn how placement fits around the cooking and menu loop.

Meet staff, customers and the wider cast
More than 400 ONE PIECE characters are included as staff and customers, according to Bandai Namco. Character events and interactions are also part of the game. This means the restaurant functions as a social setting as well as a production space: characters you recognize can appear in roles connected to the business and its visitors.
When a character event appears, complete the interaction before leaving the relevant screen if the game presents it as an active task. Keep the restaurant and menu work separate in your mind: a character interaction does not replace gathering ingredients, cooking, plating or arranging a set, and a completed menu does not necessarily complete an event.
The published description does not provide a complete recruitment order, event schedule or list of character abilities. Avoid planning around a specific character appearing at a specific time unless the in-game objective or the current platform listing confirms it.

First session: learn the complete loop
- Follow Sanji’s ingredient and recipe instructions.
- Complete at least one dish through cooking, plating and decoration.
- Place that dish into a customer meal set.
- Visit the restaurant customization view and identify the furniture, building and decorative categories.
- Note any character event or interaction that appears so you know where the social elements fit.
Early follow-up sessions: alternate food and development
- Start each session by checking the active recipe or restaurant objective.
- Gather only the ingredients needed for the immediate menu work.
- Finish dishes all the way through presentation before attempting to build a set.
- Use newly available furniture, buildings and decorations between cooking tasks.
- Return to the restaurant view to see whether a new staff member, customer or character event is available.
When the restaurant becomes busier
Keep a simple mental separation between three inventories: raw ingredients, finished dishes and customization items. Confusing those categories is the most likely source of an apparent dead end when a recipe, set or decoration cannot be selected. The interface’s current recipe, dish and placement screens are more reliable than a launch-day checklist because availability changes as the restaurant develops.

The game is not available on the date you expected
Check the platform you selected. Steam currently shows October 22, 2026, while Nintendo and Bandai Namco show October 23, 2026. A regional store can also use a local release time. Refresh the live listing and confirm that your account is viewing the correct country or region.

The price differs from an article or screenshot
Prices are storefront- and region-specific, and the Steam figure is a $19.99 pre-purchase price on the cited listing. Open the current store page and use the amount shown at checkout rather than relying on a converted price or an older announcement.
A dish cannot be added to a set
Return to the dish workflow. Confirm that you used the required recipe and ingredients, completed plating and applied the available decoration. A cooked result that has not been finalized as a plate may not be eligible for a meal set.
You cannot find a furniture or building item
The publisher’s total exceeds 200 items, but that is the size of the catalog, not an opening inventory. Check the current customization categories and continue the restaurant objectives that unlock additional content.
