To appear online with a North Macedonian IP address, connect to a VPN server location listed for North Macedonia. Install the provider’s app, sign in, choose that location and connect. Websites will generally see the VPN’s exit IP instead of your ordinary public IP—but a country label does not always mean the server hardware is physically there, and no VPN guarantees that a particular service will accept the connection.
What a North Macedonian VPN connection changes
A VPN routes your internet traffic through a provider’s server. Websites and apps generally see the server’s public IP address, which may be identified as North Macedonian, rather than your usual public IP. Netflix describes the effect this way: “If you connect to the internet using a VPN (virtual private network), it can make your device or network look like it’s connecting from somewhere other than your physical location.” (Netflix Help Center)

The advertised country identifies the location associated with the exit IP; it does not necessarily identify where the server hardware sits. ExpressVPN, for example, identifies its North Macedonia location as virtual, meaning the physical server may be elsewhere (ExpressVPN’s North Macedonia location page).

- Choose a VPN with a current North Macedonia location. Official provider pages list North Macedonia for Proton VPN, ExpressVPN, and NordVPN. PIA also advertises North Macedonia IP access through its VPN servers (PIA’s North Macedonia page). Server lists can change, so check the provider’s current listing.
- Install the provider’s app on the device you want to use and sign in. Check that the app supports your operating system or device. Proton VPN and ExpressVPN describe app-based setup on their respective location pages.
- Select North Macedonia and connect. Depending on the app, use its server list or map. Wait for the app to confirm the connection before opening the website or app you intend to use.
- Check the result if a service still detects another location. Confirm the VPN app says it is connected, then follow the service’s own troubleshooting guidance. For a Netflix VPN/proxy error, Netflix recommends checking the detected country and IP using Fast.com (Netflix’s VPN/proxy troubleshooting guidance).
How to choose a provider for your use case
A server listing establishes that a provider advertises a North Macedonia location; it does not independently prove speed, privacy, streaming compatibility, or acceptance by any particular website. Provider claims on their own pages should be treated as provider claims, not independent test results.

Examples of North Macedonia listings include Proton VPN, ExpressVPN, NordVPN and PIA. These listings do not establish independent performance results.
What to expect from streaming and account access
A North Macedonian exit IP does not guarantee access to a particular streaming catalog. Netflix says VPN users may see only titles for which it has worldwide licensing. Netflix does not support VPN use for live events or ad-supported experiences, and it may display a VPN or proxy error (Netflix’s VPN viewing information; Netflix’s VPN/proxy troubleshooting guidance).

Other streaming services can apply their own rules and detection. A provider’s compatibility statement is not proof that a particular server will work when you connect. The cited provider listings do not include independent streaming tests. Acceptance by banks or government services is likewise not established: those services can apply their own location, identity and fraud checks, so a VPN connection alone may not meet their requirements.
Use the connection within applicable rules
Follow the laws that apply where you are and the terms of the website or app you use. A VPN changes the apparent network location; it does not change your eligibility for an account, remove identity checks or guarantee access.
