Build the card in HTML and CSS, render it in a browser to an image, then inspect the exported image—not just the page—to catch Hindi glyph, shaping, line-break, and clipping problems. Use Unicode Devanagari text and a font that contains the characters your copy needs. The steps below show a repeatable workflow; exact Instagram image dimensions are not specified because current official dimension guidance has not been verified here.
1. Write and lay out the card in HTML
Keep the Hindi copy as Unicode Devanagari in your HTML source. Set the document encoding to UTF-8 and define the card’s dimensions in CSS only after checking current Instagram guidance for the placement where you plan to publish.

Devanagari is a left-to-right abugida, with combining vowel signs and conjunct forms that depend on shaping. A page can therefore contain the right Unicode text but still produce an unsuitable export if the chosen font lacks glyphs or the rendering setup handles shaping or line wrapping poorly. W3C’s Devanagari layout materials explain these script characteristics; they are work-in-progress technical resources, not a guarantee that every browser, font, or export tool will render identically: Devanagari Script Resources and Devanagari Layout Requirements.

Before designing a batch of cards, render a sample using the actual font and renderer you intend to use. Include conjuncts, vowel marks, punctuation, and any Latin numerals or URLs that will appear in the design. If you load a web font, wait until it has finished loading before capture; otherwise the browser may export a fallback font.
3. Render the HTML to an image
For a one-off card, open the HTML in a browser and capture the card element or page with a browser screenshot workflow. For repeated cards, automate rendering with a browser-based screenshot tool or an HTML-to-image service. Check that the export format and output dimensions suit your publishing workflow.

HTML/CSS to Image documents rendering an Instagram embed to an image. Its example uses the .instagram-media-rendered selector and a 1750 ms delay for that specific embed; those settings are not a universal recipe for a custom HTML card. 4. Inspect the exported raster image
Review the actual PNG, JPEG, or other exported image at the size people will see it. Source HTML alone cannot confirm that the final raster preserved the text and layout correctly.

- Look for missing or substituted glyphs, broken conjuncts, and vowel marks that appear detached or are cut off.
- Check line breaks, text wrapping, and spacing around Hindi and Latin text.
- Look for clipping at the card edges, overflow beyond the intended area, and content hidden by the crop.
- Check that the export completed after fonts and any other required page assets loaded.
Correct the font, line height, container width, or layout as needed, then render and inspect again. Test representative short and long copy before generating a larger set.
5. Use Instagram references without implying endorsement
Calling a design “for Instagram” can describe its intended use. Do not imply that Meta or Instagram sponsored, approved, or partnered on the card. If you use Instagram’s name or brand assets, follow Instagram brand assets and guidelines.

Hindi characters are missing or replaced
Check that the selected font contains the needed Devanagari glyphs and that it has loaded before capture. Test the same text in the actual renderer, not only in your editor.
Marks or conjuncts look wrong
Inspect a sample with the relevant vowel signs and conjuncts in the exported image. Try a different font or rendering setup, then verify the output again; W3C’s layout notes describe script behavior but do not certify every renderer.

The text is cut off or wraps unexpectedly
Check the card’s available width, padding, font size, line height, and overflow rules. Longer Hindi copy may need a different layout than a short headline. Re-export after each adjustment and inspect the final raster.

The export shows a fallback font or incomplete page
Ensure the capture waits for the web font and other required assets to load. A fixed delay may be insufficient or wasteful depending on the page; use a reliable readiness condition where your rendering tool supports one, then confirm by inspecting the image.
The image is cropped in Instagram
Do not assume the CSS canvas matches current platform guidance. Verify the current dimensions for the intended Instagram placement, adjust the canvas, and review the resulting image before publishing.
