Start by identifying what “broken” means: an unresponsive or intermittent key, a spacebar that sticks, a loose or tilted bar, or a missing or damaged keycap. For input problems, clean the keyboard, check its connection, and test it on another system; if the fault persists, follow the reset instructions for your exact Corsair model and connection type. A reset will not repair a physically damaged cap or stabilizer.
Identify the fault before troubleshooting
Find the keyboard’s model name and determine whether it is wired or wireless. Corsair’s reset steps differ by connection type and, for some models, by model family. Then match the symptom to the right path:

- No input or intermittent input: Check for dirt, a connection issue, or a system/software problem before trying a model-specific reset.
- Sticking or obstructed movement: Clean the keyboard and check whether anything is visibly obstructing the key. Do not force the spacebar.
- Loose, tilted, or unstable spacebar: This may involve the stabilizer rather than the key’s input behavior; contact Corsair support instead of taking the keyboard apart.
- Missing or visibly broken cap: Request a replacement keycap from Corsair, or verify exact compatibility before considering another cap.
If the spacebar does not register or works intermittently
Clean and check the connection
Corsair recommends cleaning when individual keys have input problems. For a wired keyboard, check that the cable is connected securely and try another USB port. For a wireless keyboard, check its charge and receiver connection. Follow Corsair’s cleaning guidance for your model; avoid forcing or dismantling the key.

Connect or pair the keyboard with another computer and test the spacebar. If it works there, the issue may be related to the original system or its software. If the key still fails, continue with the model-specific reset guidance.

Reset only after checking the model
Use Corsair’s keyboard troubleshooting guide and locate the reset procedure for your exact model. The guide distinguishes special steps for K95 RGB Platinum and MK2 keyboards, K55 keyboards, other wired keyboards, and wireless keyboards. Do not substitute one model’s sequence for another. A reset can address some keyboard behavior issues, but it cannot repair a broken keycap or a faulty physical stabilizer.
If the keycap is missing or broken
Corsair provides a keycap request route. Its spare-parts instructions say customers may request up to 10 keycaps free per order, subject to warehouse availability, and list a flat US$14.99 shipping fee. The page directs customers with a recent purchase or an issue affecting more than 10 keycaps to contact support first. Check the live page for current availability, shipping, regional treatment, and eligibility.

If you consider a third-party replacement, verify compatibility with the exact keyboard model, layout, and keycap mount, as well as the seller’s return terms. Corsair’s guidance does not establish that one spacebar cap fits every Corsair keyboard. A replacement cap is relevant to a missing or damaged cap; it is not a fix for a spacebar that fails to register.
If the spacebar is loose, tilted, or unstable
A spacebar that moves unevenly or will not stay stable may have a stabilizer problem. In a Corsair Community discussion about this symptom, a Corsair employee recommended contacting support for replacement if the stabilizer was not functioning properly. That is case-specific support advice, not a repair procedure.

Corsair’s Limited Warranty, updated August 11, 2026, says products are not designed for consumer self-repair. Corsair says it does not provide consumer repair instructions, diagnostic software, or tools, and its policy says it offers no spare parts outside warranty service. Do not pry apart or solder the keyboard; contact Corsair support to ask what service is available for your model and circumstances.

Corsair lists a two-year warranty for new gaming keyboards. Coverage, the warranty start date, proof-of-purchase requirements, and available service depend on the product and circumstances. Corsair’s warranty page says a serial number and purchase receipt are required to exercise warranty rights. Check the policy and contact support with the model, serial number, receipt, and a clear description of the fault.
