There is no verified, game-specific fix for stuttering or low frame rates in Tenderloin Night Shift. The San Francisco Tenderloin zombie shooter was a browser-based multiplayer project, not a documented retail Windows release, and reports say it was removed after criticism. No published system requirements, benchmark, graphics menu, launch option, shader-cache procedure, or official performance patch is available.
If a legitimate copy still loads from a cached or alternate host, treat the steps below as general browser troubleshooting—not tested fixes for this game. Confirm that the build is authentic and currently available before changing drivers or downloading anything.

What Tenderloin Night Shift is—and why normal PC fixes may not apply
PC Gamer and SFist identified the title as Tenderloin Night Shift, a short multiplayer shooter designed to run in a web browser. It places a Call of Duty-style zombie scenario on recognizable streets in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. The project was associated with NanoCorp founder Pierre-Louis Biojout and was removed from its host site after public criticism. That removal makes availability, hosting and build authenticity uncertain.

Because the reported project was delivered through a browser, advice written for a conventional Windows game can be irrelevant. There is no documented native executable, Steam listing, graphics-options screen, minimum or recommended hardware list, frame-rate test, shader-cache routine, launch argument or official patch. A browser page can also behave differently when it is served from a different host, loaded from a cache or opened in a different browser version.
Check that you have a real, currently available build first
Performance troubleshooting only makes sense if the page or build you are running is the same project described in the reports. Since the original host reportedly removed it, a search result, mirror or downloadable executable may be unrelated—or unsafe.
- Record the exact address. Copy the complete domain and path shown in the browser address bar. A page that uses a different name, asks for an installer or redirects through several download pages is not automatically an official re-release.
- Look for identifying information on the page. The title, creator attribution and browser-play instructions should be consistent with the reported project. Do not treat a familiar thumbnail or copied description as proof of authenticity.
- Prefer a page that runs in the browser. The documented project was a browser game. A site that insists on an unsigned Windows executable, a “special FPS patch,” a DLL replacement or an unknown browser extension is outside what the reporting establishes.
- Do not disable security protections to launch a mirror. Keep the operating system, browser and antivirus protections enabled. If a host requires you to bypass a warning, enter credentials or install a helper, stop rather than trying to force the game to run.
- Test whether the problem is site-wide. If the page is blank, unavailable or repeatedly redirects on more than one current browser, the issue may be hosting or removal rather than frame rate. A performance tweak cannot repair a missing or broken service.
Availability can change without notice. Re-check the host and any re-release announcement at the time you troubleshoot; an old cached copy is not evidence that the original service is still supported.

The only number attached to the project in the reporting is a creator claim that it generated $300 in in-game advertising revenue in 2026. That is a business figure, not a frame-rate measurement and not evidence that a particular PC configuration performs well.
General browser troubleshooting, in the safest order
Use one change at a time and reload the page after each change. If you alter several variables together, you will not know which one affected the result. Stop if the page is unavailable or the copy cannot be verified.

1. Update the browser you are using
Install the latest stable release offered by your browser’s normal update screen, then fully close and reopen the browser. Do not use a developer, beta or modified build merely to chase more frames. A current stable browser gives you the most defensible baseline when the game itself has no stated supported version.
After restarting, open only the game page and check whether the symptom is still present. If the page now fails to load, that is an availability or compatibility change—not proof that an older browser was faster.

Install a current driver for your NVIDIA, AMD or Intel graphics hardware using the vendor’s official update utility or support page. Reboot when the installer requests it. Browser rendering can depend on the graphics driver, but no report has tested a particular driver version with Tenderloin Night Shift, so do not expect a guaranteed FPS increase.
Record the driver version before and after the change. If the page becomes less stable, return to the previously known-good driver using the vendor’s normal rollback process rather than downloading a random driver package.
3. Disable extensions for a controlled test
Open the browser’s extensions or add-ons manager and temporarily disable content blockers, script modifiers, overlays, video tools and privacy extensions for the test. If your browser supports a private window with extensions disabled by default, that can provide a quick comparison, but make sure the game’s page is allowed to run its required content.

Reload the page after disabling extensions. If stutter disappears, re-enable extensions one at a time until the conflicting add-on is identified. Leave unrelated extensions enabled during normal browsing; the goal is to isolate the page, not to weaken browser security permanently.

Close video streams, web meetings, large downloads and other graphics-heavy tabs. Also pause applications that are actively using the CPU, GPU, memory or network connection. Use the browser’s own task manager where available—for example, a Chromium-based browser normally exposes it under More tools and Task manager—to identify a tab or extension consuming unusual resources.
Retest with the same scene or activity after the background work has stopped. A browser game can feel uneven when another tab or application repeatedly claims resources, but this remains a general explanation, not a measured diagnosis for this title.
5. Try another current browser
Install or open another up-to-date mainstream browser and load the same verified address. Keep the test fair: use the same display, zoom level, extensions-disabled state and background workload. If one browser is smooth and another stutters, note the browser names and versions; that comparison is useful evidence even though there is no official compatibility list.
If neither browser can load the page, investigate the host or build rather than repeatedly reinstalling browsers. If both load but show the same low performance, browser switching has not established a fix.

6. Return browser zoom to 100 percent and reduce visual load
Reset the page to the browser’s default zoom, normally 100 percent, using the zoom control in the browser menu. A larger zoom can increase the amount of page content that must be drawn. If the game exposes any in-page quality, resolution or effects control, lower it for a test; no such menu is documented, so do not search for or download a third-party settings file.
Keep the browser window size and zoom constant while comparing results. Changing both at once makes a subjective improvement difficult to reproduce.
7. Reload cleanly after each change
Use the browser’s normal reload command after a driver, extension or zoom change. If the page appears stuck, close the tab, reopen the verified address and start a fresh session. Avoid deleting all browser data or clearing unrelated passwords and cookies as a first step; there is no evidence that a particular cache file causes this project’s stutter.
8. Keep a short troubleshooting record
Write down the browser and version, GPU model, driver version, zoom level, extensions enabled, number of competing tabs and what you observed. Describe the symptom precisely: a consistently low frame rate, brief pauses when turning, input delay, or a page that stops responding are different observations. Because there is no published benchmark, this record is the only reliable way to tell whether a change was repeatable.
Separate stutter, low FPS and a broken page
Consistently low frame rate
The animation appears slow all the time, even when the scene is simple. Compare the verified page in two current browsers with extensions disabled and competing work closed. If performance remains similar, there is no documented game setting or benchmark that can identify a further remedy.

Intermittent stutter
The game is smooth, then pauses briefly, often when another tab, extension or background process becomes active. Repeat the same action after closing competing work and disabling extensions. If the pauses follow network events or happen on every browser, the host or page implementation may be involved; the available reporting does not establish a game-specific cause.
Input delay or a frozen tab
Controls respond late, the page stops updating or the browser reports that the tab is unresponsive. Treat this as a stability or loading problem first. Reload the verified page, try the other current browser and check whether the host is still serving the project. A driver update cannot restore a page that has been removed.
Common fixes you should not assume exist
- Shader-cache deletion: No shader-cache location or procedure is published for this project. Deleting caches can create new compilation work and has no documented benefit here.
- Launch options: There is no established launcher or native executable, so commands copied from unrelated games are not applicable.
- Configuration-file edits: No supported install directory or settings-file format has been reported. Do not replace files supplied by an unverified mirror.
- Hardware requirements: The absence of requirements means you cannot label a PC officially underpowered or officially supported from the available evidence.
- Unofficial patches: A download claiming to unlock FPS, fix stutter or restore the removed project should be treated as unverified software, not as an official solution.
If a legitimate re-release appears
A future release should provide enough information to make performance advice testable. Compare the following items before applying old troubleshooting instructions:
