If your Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 will not connect, first make sure it is actually in pairing mode: turn it off, then hold Volume + until you hear “pairing” and the LED flashes red and blue alternately. Select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz in your phone or computer’s Bluetooth settings. If that does not work, check Bluetooth and device distance, set up multipoint with its separate sequence, and use a factory reset only after simpler checks.
Pair OpenRun Pro 2 to a phone or computer
Basic pairing uses the device’s Bluetooth settings; the Shokz App is not required. The official Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Support – Usage & Troubleshooting Instructions also describes the headphones as usable without the app. The app provides settings such as EQ and language controls.

- Turn the headphones off.
- Press and hold Volume + until you hear the “pairing” prompt and the LED flashes red and blue alternately. Wait for the pairing prompt; the power-on prompt alone does not mean pairing mode has started.
- On your phone or computer, open Bluetooth settings and choose OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz from the available devices.
- Wait for the connection prompt and a blue LED, which indicate that pairing succeeded.

Check Bluetooth and distance
- Make sure the phone or computer is powered on and Bluetooth is enabled.
- Keep the devices within 10 m. Shokz Help Center guidance surfaced in a search result gives this distance, but the underlying troubleshooting page was not independently accessible, so treat it as a basic check rather than a detailed model-specific diagnostic.
Set up multipoint for two devices
Multipoint has a separate setup sequence; pairing a second device is not the same as repeating the standard one-device procedure. Follow the sequence in Shokz’s OpenRun Pro 2 guide:

- Enter pairing mode by turning the headphones off and holding Volume + until the pairing prompt and alternating red-and-blue LED appear.
- While in pairing mode, hold Multifunction and Volume + until you hear a beep.
- Select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz in the first device’s Bluetooth settings.
- Turn the headphones off, then enter pairing mode again.
- Select the headset in the second device’s Bluetooth settings.
- After both devices have been paired, turn the headphones off and back on.
The Shokz App also offers a way to manage multipoint pairing, but it is not needed for basic Bluetooth pairing.
Factory-reset the headphones if pairing still fails
A factory reset restores the headphones to factory settings. You will need to pair your Bluetooth devices again afterward, so try the checks above first. Shokz’s OpenRun Pro 2 guide gives this reset sequence:

- Turn the headphones off.
- Hold Volume + until the pairing prompt and alternating red-and-blue LED show that pairing mode is active.
- Press and hold Multifunction, Volume +, and Volume – together until you hear a beep.
- Pair your phone or computer again using the standard pairing steps.
If the connection problem continues
The model-specific instructions above cover standard pairing, multipoint setup, and a factory reset. They do not establish a particular phone operating-system cache procedure, computer driver fix, or supported Bluetooth-version requirement for this model. Avoid treating generic troubleshooting steps as Shokz-prescribed fixes. If the headset still will not pair after the documented steps, contact Shokz support for help.
