If a Fortnite reward is missing, first identify what you claimed: a Battle Pass premium reward, an item you earned or bought, a Twitch Drop, a monthly Fortnite Crew Pack, Crew V-Bucks, or Crew benefits through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Each has a different delivery process and wait window. Then confirm you’re using the Epic Games account that owns the reward or subscription; Fortnite inventory and progress are tied to that account, not simply to the console or device you’re playing on.
Start with the reward type and its expected timing
Don’t use one reward’s wait period as a rule for every other reward. Epic gives a short retry procedure for Battle Pass claim errors, a specific-case window for Twitch Drops, and separate guidance for Crew Pack content and Crew V-Bucks.

| Missing reward | What to check first | Epic’s stated timing | Next step if it remains missing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battle Pass premium reward claim error | Epic account that owns the Battle Pass; game session and service status | Sign out and back in, restart Fortnite, and wait a few minutes. This is claim-error guidance, not a universal reward wait window. Epic Games Support | Try another device, then use Epic’s support route if the error continues. |
| Item already earned or purchased | Correct Epic account; Locker category, filters, and Archived view | No general delivery window is stated in Epic’s missing-item instructions. Epic Games Support | Follow the missing-item support instructions if the item is still absent. |
| Twitch Drop | Drop claimed on Twitch and Twitch linked to the correct Epic account | Each Drop should appear in the Locker after claiming; in specific cases it may take up to 14 days. Epic Games Support | After checking the account and Locker, contact Epic if it has not appeared after the applicable wait. |
| Monthly Crew Pack content | Active Crew subscription and the Epic account where Crew was purchased | Delivery is approximately 8 PM ET on the last day of each month; allow up to 72 hours for content to appear. Epic Games Support | Sign out and back in on the purchase platform, restart the device, launch Fortnite again, then contact Epic if still missing. |
| Crew V-Bucks | Crew billing date and account associated with the subscription | The grant may take up to 72 hours after the billing date. Epic Games Support | After 72 hours, sign out and back in; if the V-Bucks are still missing, contact Epic. |
| Crew benefits through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate | Active subscription, Xbox account linked to the correct Epic account, and a monthly Fortnite sign-in through an eligible Xbox route | Epic requires at least one Fortnite sign-in per month on an Xbox console, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, or a supported gaming handheld. Epic Games Support | On PC, install Fortnite through the Xbox app and sign in to trigger redemption; troubleshoot Pack content and V-Bucks separately. |
Use the table to choose a path, not as one combined countdown. For example, the monthly Crew Pack’s approximate delivery time is not the date to use when checking Crew V-Bucks; those follow the billing date. Likewise, the 14-day Twitch Drop exception does not apply to a Battle Pass claim error or a missing Locker item.
Confirm the Epic account that owns the reward
This is the first check for any missing reward. A console, PC, or other platform account can be linked to an Epic account that is different from the one you intended to use. If you launch Fortnite while signed in through the wrong linked account, the game can show that account’s progress and Locker instead.

- Sign in to the Epic account you normally use for Fortnite and check its display name and progress.
- If you have more than one Epic account, sign in to each one separately and identify which has your main Fortnite progress and the relevant purchase or subscription.
- Check that the platform account you use to play is linked to that Epic account. Epic’s instructions recommend confirming the platform account before linking it: how to link a different platform account to an Epic Games account.
- Launch Fortnite through the platform account linked to the Epic account that owns the reward, then look in the Locker or the relevant reward screen again.
Think of the Epic account as the place to verify ownership, and the platform account as the sign-in route you use to reach it. A reward being absent on one console does not by itself show whether it was never granted; first establish which Epic account that console is opening. If you have used different devices or sign-in methods over time, compare the progress and display name on the accounts rather than guessing from the platform you purchased on.
Do not unlink and relink accounts as a way to transfer progress. Epic says Fortnite progress stays on the Epic account where it was built; unlinking and relinking does not move progress between Epic accounts, and Support cannot merge progress between them. Some platform-linking restrictions can only be removed once every 365 days, so do not change links casually. Read Epic’s guidance on Fortnite progress that did not sync across devices before changing account links.
Fix a Battle Pass premium reward claim error
If the reward failed while you were claiming it from the Battle Pass and Fortnite showed an error processing rewards, treat this as a claim-processing problem before assuming the item is permanently missing. Epic notes that reward processing can sometimes be delayed and recommends a short set of checks.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Verify that you’re signed in to the Epic account that owns the Battle Pass.
- Sign out of Fortnite, then sign back in.
- Restart Fortnite and wait a few minutes before trying the claim again.
- Check Epic Games Status for a service issue that could affect reward processing.
- If available, try the same account on another device. If the claim works there, the problem may be specific to the original device or session.
These steps apply to the Battle Pass premium reward processing error. They do not establish a general wait period for purchased items, Twitch Drops, or Crew benefits; use the timing guidance for the reward you’re missing.
Keep the retry focused: confirm the account, refresh the session, and check service status before repeatedly attempting the same claim. If Epic Games Status shows an issue, the claim may be affected by a service problem, so retry after the service issue has cleared. If the same error continues on another device, that helps rule out a problem limited to the original installation or session and gives you a clearer issue to report.
Search the Locker before treating an item as undelivered
An item may already be in your inventory without a new claim notification. Search the Locker directly, especially when the item was earned or purchased earlier and the issue is that it is no longer visible.

- Check that Fortnite is running on the Epic account where you earned or purchased the item.
- Open the Locker and select the category that matches the missing item, such as the relevant cosmetic type.
- Clear active filters and sorting choices that could hide the item from the current view.
- Open the Archived view and check whether the item was archived.
- If you received a notice that an item was removed, follow Epic’s missing-item instructions; otherwise, complete the Locker search before reporting it as absent.
Epic’s missing Locker item guidance covers checking the correct account, item type, filters, and archived items.

A Locker search for the wrong item category can make an owned cosmetic seem missing, and an active filter can narrow the list without making that obvious. If the item was part of a reward that you claimed earlier, check whether it is already present before trying to claim it again. A notification is useful, but the Locker itself is the place to verify whether an item is in your inventory.
Check a Twitch Drop claim and account link
A Drop being visible on Twitch does not by itself confirm that it was claimed on the correct Twitch profile or linked to the Epic account you use in Fortnite. Verify both sides before waiting for delivery.
- On Twitch, confirm that the Drop was actually claimed; do not assume that watching the stream alone completes the claim.
- Confirm that the Twitch profile is linked to the Epic Games account where you expect the reward.
- Launch Fortnite on that Epic account and search the Locker for the reward in the appropriate category.
- If it is still absent, allow for Epic’s stated exception: a Drop should appear in the Locker after claiming, but in specific cases it may take up to 14 days.
Account age settings can also matter. Epic says Cabined Accounts cannot earn Twitch Drop rewards until a parent or guardian completes account setup. Age restrictions can limit linking to services as well. If the account is subject to those limits, resolve the account setup or linking restriction rather than repeatedly claiming the same Drop. See Epic’s Twitch Drop troubleshooting guidance.
The order of checks matters: first verify that the claim was completed on Twitch, then verify which Epic account the Twitch profile is connected to, and only then search Fortnite. If the reward is still not in the Locker, Epic’s up-to-14-day timing applies only to specific cases; it is not a promise that every Drop will take that long. Once the relevant wait has passed, use Epic’s Twitch Drop support route with the account and claim details available.

Troubleshoot a missing Fortnite Crew Pack
Crew Pack content and Crew V-Bucks have separate delivery timing, so a Pack arriving does not prove that the V-Bucks grant has arrived, and a V-Bucks delay does not necessarily mean the Pack is missing. For Pack content, Epic says delivery is approximately 8 PM ET on the last day of each month and advises allowing up to 72 hours for the content to appear.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

- Confirm that the Crew subscription is active.
- Make sure you’re signed in to the Epic account where the Crew subscription was purchased.
- On the platform where the subscription was purchased, sign out and sign back in.
- Restart the device, launch Fortnite again, and check the Locker for the Pack content.
- If the content is still missing after the stated wait, use the Contact Us route in Epic’s Crew Pack support article.
The monthly release timing is approximate, not a substitute for checking the subscription and account. If you are checking before the stated 8 PM ET delivery point on the last day of the month, the Pack may not yet be due. After it is due, allow the full 72-hour window before escalating. When you contact Epic, use the Crew Pack route if the missing item is Pack content; do not report a separate V-Bucks issue as though the two entitlements share an identical schedule.
Troubleshoot missing Crew V-Bucks separately
Crew V-Bucks are granted according to the subscription billing date, which depends on the subscription date and/or primary platform. That date is not necessarily the same as the monthly Pack delivery time. Epic says the grant may take up to 72 hours after the billing date to appear.
- Check when the Crew subscription billed and use that as the reference point for the V-Bucks wait, rather than the Pack’s monthly delivery time.
- Confirm you are using the Epic account associated with the Crew subscription.
- Allow up to 72 hours after the billing date. If the balance is still missing afterward, sign out and back in.
- If signing in again does not resolve it, contact Epic Support through its Crew V-Bucks support article.
If you also have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Epic notes that it can shift a previous Xbox Crew billing date. The original subscription date continues to determine the monthly V-Bucks timing, so check the subscription’s billing history rather than relying on the date you expected from an earlier Xbox Crew arrangement.

Use the billing date as your starting point even if the Pack arrived on its usual monthly schedule. The two benefits can arrive at different times because their timing rules are different. If the 72-hour period after billing has passed, sign out and back in to refresh the session, then contact Epic if the balance remains missing; waiting for the next Pack delivery date does not replace the V-Bucks support step.
Redeem Crew benefits supplied through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
For Crew supplied through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, check the Xbox-to-Epic account link and subscription status first. Epic also requires the player to sign in to Fortnite at least once per month through an eligible Xbox route for the benefits to be supplied.
- Verify the Xbox account is linked to the Epic account you use for Fortnite.
- Confirm that the Game Pass Ultimate subscription is active.
- Sign in to Fortnite at least once during the month using an Xbox console, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, or a supported gaming handheld.
- On PC, install Fortnite through the Xbox app first, then sign in to trigger redemption.
- If only Pack content or only V-Bucks is missing, follow the relevant Crew Pack or Crew V-Bucks checks above; those benefits have distinct delivery guidance.
Epic’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Crew support article covers the sign-in requirement and redemption route.

The monthly sign-in requirement is specific to Crew supplied through Game Pass Ultimate. A Game Pass subscription alone is not the whole check: the Xbox account must be linked to the Epic account you actually use, and Fortnite must be launched through an eligible Xbox route at least once during the month. For PC, Epic’s instructions specifically call for installing Fortnite through the Xbox app before signing in. If you have completed that route but one benefit is still absent, separate the Pack question from the V-Bucks question and follow the matching timing guidance.
When to contact Epic Support
Contact Support once you have checked the owning Epic account, completed the steps for the specific reward type, and allowed that reward’s stated wait period. Use the Contact Us route in the matching Epic support article rather than reporting a different reward category; the Pack, V-Bucks, Twitch Drop, Locker-item, and Battle Pass issues have different checks.
- For a Battle Pass premium claim-processing error, use Epic’s Battle Pass reward-error article.
- For a purchased or earned item missing from the Locker, use Epic’s missing-item article.
- For a Twitch Drop, use Epic’s Twitch Drop article.
- For a monthly Crew Pack, use Epic’s Crew Pack article.
- For Crew V-Bucks, use Epic’s Crew V-Bucks article.
- For benefits supplied through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, use Epic’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate article.
When you contact support, state which exact reward is missing and which Epic account you checked. Include the relevant timing anchor: the Battle Pass error and retry steps, Twitch Drop claim, Crew Pack monthly delivery point, or Crew billing date. For Game Pass Ultimate benefits, note whether the Xbox account is linked and whether you signed in through one of the eligible routes that month. This keeps the support request aligned with the entitlement that failed rather than mixing separate reward schedules.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my Fortnite rewards not showing up after I claim them?
The cause depends on the reward. You may be looking at a different Epic account, the item may already be in the Locker under another category or in Archived, or the entitlement may still be within its stated delivery window. Identify the reward type first, then follow only its account, timing, and support checks.
How long does it take for Fortnite Crew rewards to show up?
Epic says Crew Pack content is delivered at approximately 8 PM ET on the last day of each month and advises allowing up to 72 hours for it to appear. Crew V-Bucks have a separate schedule: allow up to 72 hours after the subscription billing date.

Can unlinking my console account move my Fortnite rewards or progress?
No. Epic says Fortnite progress stays on the Epic account where it was built; unlinking and relinking does not transfer progress between Epic accounts, and Support cannot merge account progress. Some linking restrictions can only be removed once every 365 days, so verify account ownership before changing a link.
What if I received my Crew Pack but not my V-Bucks?
Treat them as separate benefits with different timing. Check the Crew billing date, allow up to 72 hours for the V-Bucks grant, then sign out and back in. If it remains missing, use Epic’s Crew V-Bucks support route.
Does watching a Twitch stream automatically claim its Fortnite Drop?
No. Verify on Twitch that the Drop was actually claimed, then check that Twitch is linked to the Epic account you use in Fortnite. Epic also says Cabined Accounts cannot earn Drops until a parent or guardian completes account setup, and age restrictions can limit service linking.

The Bottom Line
Match the fix to the missing reward: verify the Epic account, search the Locker carefully, and use that reward’s own timing guidance. If the applicable wait and checks do not resolve it, contact Epic through the matching support article. Avoid unlinking accounts to try to move progress; Fortnite progress remains with the Epic account where it was earned.
