If Flipkart checkout freezes or a payment is debited without an order confirmation, first check Account > Orders and your confirmation messages. Do not pay again until you know whether an order already exists. A payment result and a confirmed order are separate things to verify.
First, check whether an order was created
- Open Flipkart and go to Account > Orders. On the website, sign in before checking your orders.
- Look for the item and open any order that appears. Check its payment and order status.
- Search your SMS and email for a Flipkart confirmation, and check the bank or payment app for the transaction. Save any transaction reference, amount, date and time, screenshot, and order ID.
- If the order or payment status is unclear, contact official Flipkart support before trying checkout again. This helps avoid placing a duplicate order or payment.
Fix the problem based on what happened
Checkout freezes, the button does not respond, or an offer fails
Capture the error and note when it happened. Check Account > Orders before trying again. You can reopen the app or website and check your internet connection as basic troubleshooting, but neither step is a guaranteed fix. If the error persists, describe it to Flipkart through official support. The available official guidance does not establish a sale-specific outage or a verified technical fix.

Payment says failed, but you see no debit
Check transaction activity in your bank or payment app, then check Flipkart order history. If neither shows a completed payment or order, do not assume a payment-reversal deadline applies: the RBI timeline below is for a specific UPI merchant-payment failure, not every failed payment. Contact Flipkart support if the issue repeats.
Money was debited, but no order appears or payment is unconfirmed
Keep the transaction reference and check the transaction status with your bank or payment app. Check Flipkart order history and contact Flipkart through a logged-in support channel. For a UPI merchant payment where the account is debited but confirmation does not reach the merchant, the RBI’s domestic failed-payment framework specifies auto-reversal within T+5 days, with compensation of ₹100 per day if reversal is delayed beyond that period. This rule concerns the payment transaction; it does not establish that Flipkart created an order. RBI circular on turnaround time and compensation for failed transactions.

An order appears, but its status is pending or unclear
Open the order and use its Help option to ask whether it was accepted or processed. Flipkart’s Terms of Use describe placing an order as an offer to the seller, not proof that the seller accepted it; a seller may cancel an order. Do not place a duplicate order while the existing order’s status is unresolved, especially if your account was debited. Flipkart Terms of Use.
The order was cancelled after placement
Check the order details and your payment method for refund status. Flipkart’s Terms of Use say an amount paid is refunded in the seller-cancellation case described there, but they do not establish an exact refund turnaround time.

Use the right payment timeline
The RBI’s UPI merchant-payment rule is not a general “Flipkart refund takes five days” rule. The applicable timeline depends on the payment rail, transaction type, and what failed.

Whether a payment is reversed and whether an order was created or accepted are separate questions. Check with the payment provider about a transaction trace and with Flipkart about order status.

For order-specific help, sign in. Flipkart’s Help Centre lists order, payment, and refund topics, while recent-order assistance requires sign-in; the public page does not show every personalized troubleshooting step. Flipkart Help Centre.
- In the app: go to Account > Orders, choose the order, tap Help, then select Chat with us.
- On the website: log in, open the three-dot menu, choose 24×7 Customer Care, select the relevant issue or order, and chat.
- For a general query: use the Help Centre bot.

If someone claiming to be support contacts you
Stop the conversation if a phone number or social account contacts you unexpectedly claiming to resolve the issue. Do not disclose account or payment credentials. Instead, open Flipkart’s app or website yourself and use the logged-in support routes above; Flipkart warns about unofficial contact methods and impersonation.
