Restart Chrome and isolate the browser context
- Close and reopen Chrome, then repeat the same capture on the same ordinary page. This is a quick diagnostic step, not a confirmed FireShot fix.
- If the dialog is still missing, try a different ordinary page to see whether the symptom is page-specific.
- If practical, try a fresh Chrome profile. A different profile can help distinguish a profile-specific issue from behavior that follows the browser installation.
- Try another browser only as a comparison. One FireShot user reported that the dialog appeared in Edge, but that single observation does not establish that switching browsers will fix the issue for others.
Chrome Help Community discussions suggest steps such as restarting or updating Chrome, checking extensions, and comparing profiles for general PDF-saving problems. What is known about this Chrome symptom
In a FireShot support forum post dated September 23, 2025, a user said that after updating FireShot to version 2.1.2 on Windows 10 and Chrome, the Export to PDF dialog stopped appearing after capture. The user reported that uninstalling and reinstalling both FireShot and its Chrome extension did not help, while the dialog appeared in Edge. The visible report gives no developer diagnosis or confirmed resolution, so reinstalling should not be presented as a proven repair.
