If the phone is frozen, has a black screen or will not turn on

If mobile signal or data is missing or slow
Mobile data depends on the SIM, the carrier’s coverage and network, the plan, and the phone’s settings. Check these in turn rather than assuming the handset is at fault. realme’s general troubleshooting guidance includes several of these checks; menu labels may vary.
- Check whether the carrier has coverage where you are and whether your plan still has data allowance. Contact the carrier if service or account status may be the cause.
- Confirm the SIM is enabled, Mobile data is on, and Airplane mode is off.
- Disconnect a VPN temporarily to see whether it is affecting the connection.
- Restart the phone. If the SIM may be loose or faulty, turn the phone off before reinserting it; if possible, test another SIM or test your SIM in another phone.

For notifications that do not arrive
Check that the app has notification permission and that the phone has a working network connection. Review battery-saving and background-activity restrictions, which may prevent an app from running or notifying you in the background. Use the controls available in your installed realme UI version rather than relying on a menu path that may have changed.

- Close apps you are not using and remove files you no longer need.
- Clear an app’s cache or investigate that app separately if the lag occurs only there; reinstall it if other fixes fail.
- Check for a system update through the phone’s available update settings. Update availability depends on region and rollout, and the reviewed official pages do not establish a current P4-specific schedule.
- realme’s general troubleshooting page suggests restarting weekly as a maintenance measure. Treat that as manufacturer advice, not a guaranteed performance fix.
Before a factory reset or recovery update
A factory data reset permanently erases phone data.
