For the soundcore Nebula P1 (model D2431), start with the symptom: refocus a blurry image, use the indicator light to narrow down power trouble, and isolate HDMI faults across the cable, source, and output resolution. For sensor errors, update failures, or persistent faults, stick to the manufacturer’s owner-level checks and contact support rather than opening the projector. Menu names can vary by software version; the steps below reflect Nebula’s official guidance available on October 4, 2026.
Fix a blurry or out-of-focus image
- Short-press the remote’s Focus button to start autofocus. Or open All Settings > Projector > Focus > Start Auto Focus.
- If the image is still blurry, long-press Focus on the remote, choose Manual Focus, and use the left and right arrows until the picture is clear.

Diagnose a P1 that will not turn on or charge
First make sure the adapter is plugged in and both ends of the cable are fully connected, then press Power. Use the indicator light to choose the next check:
- No light and no response: Test the adapter and cable with another device. If they appear to work but the projector remains unresponsive, contact Nebula support.
- Red light: Continue pressing the projector’s Power button and the remote’s On button. If nothing changes, contact support.
- Rapidly flashing red light: Nebula says the adapter or cable may not be supplying enough power. Try the original adapter and cable first. If testing a substitute, the guidance specifies a 100W adapter and 5A cable; confirm the connector and device compatibility before using or buying one.
- White light but no image: Nebula classifies this as a possible software or hardware problem and directs owners to support.

Resolve an HDMI no-signal message
Check each part of the signal path rather than assuming the projector is at fault:
- Connect a different HDMI cable to the P1.
- Try another HDMI source device with the projector.
- Connect the original source device to a television over HDMI to check whether it outputs a signal.
- Adjust the source device’s HDMI output resolution to match the projector.

Clear a TOF sensor error
Check that the time-of-flight (TOF) sensor is not covered. If it is dirty, gently wipe the lens with a soft tissue or eyeglasses cloth, then restart the projector. The owner guidance does not provide an internal sensor repair procedure, so do not open the projector for this error. If it returns after these checks, contact support.

Retry a failed firmware update
Use a stronger Wi-Fi connection or a cellular hotspot, then check the update path for the component you are updating. The system, speakers, and remote have separate menus and update behavior.

Address crashing apps or slow performance
If an app crashes
Try another Wi-Fi network, check that the time zone is correct, and clear the affected app’s cache. If the problem continues, factory reset as a last step: Settings > System > About > Reset > Factory Reset. A reset resets the device, and Nebula does not guarantee that it resolves every app fault.

Separate video playback lag from slow navigation. Nebula says playback delay may be related to the network or app; menu lag may be more noticeable during initial startup, after a firmware upgrade, or while apps update in the background.
- Update the firmware and apps.
- You can disable automatic app updates to reduce background activity, but then check for app updates manually.
- On Google TV, Apps Only Mode prevents downloading new apps while it is enabled.
If lag persists, give support the affected app or circumstances, the serial number, a video of the issue, connected-device details, and remaining storage. The manufacturer’s guidance is at How do I fix a projector with delay issues?

Correct a shifted image or reconnect the remote
Image moved after repositioning
The P1’s projector head does not automatically stabilize the projected image when the device moves or shakes. Reposition it, then use keystone correction if needed: All Settings > Projector > Keystone correction > Start Auto Keystone Correction or Perform Manual Keystone Correction. Nebula’s FAQ also links guidance for positioning and resizing the image and fitting it to a screen.
Remote will not pair
The remote is paired when shipped. If it is not paired, press its microphone button and follow the on-screen prompts. The Nebula P1 User Guide includes videos covering focus, keystone correction, positioning and resizing, screen fit, and reconnecting surround speakers.

When to contact Nebula support
Contact support for a P1 that remains unresponsive after the basic power checks, shows a white indicator without an image, repeatedly fails updates, or has a persistent fault after the relevant owner-level steps. The guide lists US support at 1-800-988-7973, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM PT, and [email protected]; the product support material also lists [email protected].
